NIGHTMARES

NIGHTMARES. Everyone has them once in a while. Before last night, Levi hadn't had one since the night they met Lucas, Mike, and Dustin. Which made the feeling in his stomach grow.

Music filled the small room, Max bounced back and forth singing to the song playing on the stereo, El was looking at magazines on her bed, while Five sat on the bean bag in the corner, reading a book as usual and Levi sat on the bed with his back against the headboard, thinking.

He didn't know what to make of his dream. He didn't know if he should tell someone, and that made the guilt build in his chest, especially when he hung out with Max all day.

Today was the most he laughed in a long time, this was the third time where he actually felt like he belonged, (the other times was when he met Richie and Eddie, and when he, El, Five, and Six met Three and Four.)

He didn't want to ruin the fun by telling them about something that could mean nothing, but something about it made his stomach sink and for a split second he felt that it did mean something.

All he could remember was seeing the blue eyes of Billy Hargrove, hiding so much pain as tears clouded his vision.

Twelve could feel the fear that was coursing through Billy's veins, he could see Billy walking through the upside-down in panic, and he could hear the older boy talking to an unknown thing. And he could sense the darkness surrounding him, feeding on the negative emotions falling from the boy in waves.

Five looked up from his book slowly setting it down in his lap, watching the girls in amusement.

"He'll come crawling back to you in no time, begging for forgiveness. I guarantee you, him and Lucas are like totally wallowing in self-pity and misery right now."

Five shook his head at the impression of the boys, holding in a snort at how teenage girls think. He would never be like how Max described boys, he would never act the way she says, Mike and Lucas do. But knowing Max's knowledge Five wouldn't bet that what she was saying wasn't true.

He thought it was pathetic, really. Thinking how the boys were so heartbroken over the 'breakup' was almost nauseating, I mean, if you didn't want the girl to break up with you, don't be a dick and respect her in the first place, like what the fuck, dude?!

But he didn't want to say anything, he was never good at stating what needed to be said unless it had something to do with Levi or...Six. Even though it hurt sometimes, Five was fine with being the quiet one, silently critiquing everyone's moves, wanting to shout that the idea was stupid but he never did.

He just stayed on the sidelines, he was cool with it though, he never liked talking to people anyway, other than Twelve and Six, of course, that and the fact he was weary around everyone. It was hard to get along with him when he was always on edge about something happening.
