It was a bright and sunny day in the almost quiet city. The word almost usually implies something doesn't it, so look no further than the two girls who were running toward the city park. While one girl was excited for something, the other girl running slightly behind her had no clue why the girl in front of her was in such a big rush or in a big mood of excitement.

Kiko: Try to keep up with me, Mai!

Mai: What's with the rush, Kiko? Why are so pumped up?

Kiko: They're holding cheerleading tryouts today at the park and I want to watch the other Cheer Squads in the city and district get into the big competition later this year.

Mai: Now you've got my interest, let's get a move on!

Kiko: Race you to the park.

Mai: You are so on!

Kiko: 1 . . . 2 . . . 3 . . . Go!

And with that, Kiko raced ahead of Mai without warning and leaving the poor girl in the dust.

Kiko: Keep up, Mai!

Mai: This isn't far, you got a head start.

Kiko: I hope you got your running shoes on because you're going to have to try and keep up with me if you're running like that.

Mai: Now you've tempted me.

And so Mai ran up to the girl dressed in yellow and continued to run at the same speed till they reached the park.

(OP: Let's Dance on)

The two reached the park in time for the tryouts and found a spot on one of the bleachers before people were piling into them like moths to a flame.

Mai: Does this happen every year?

Kiko: Yeah. Cheerleading is a big deal here and in the surrounding districts, so if there's a cheerleading tryout here or in any of the other districts in the area, everyone flocks to them and people will place bets as to which team will win.

Mai: Seems kind of pointless to me.

Kiko: What's pointless?

Mai: Placing bets of which team will win. I mean, it doesn't really matter what team wins as long as they punt in the hard work to win.

Kiko: I guess I can see your point, but it doesn't seem to explain as to why you're suddenly in such a foul mood.

Mai: I don't do well with large crowds and besides, I'm bored and I want something else to do to fill my time.

Kiko: I'm bored as well and I've seen every tryout before this and I wanted to show you, but I guess we could do something else.

Mai: What to come to school with me? I've been needing to do some ballet practice anyway.

Kiko: Sure, why not? I have always wanted to see the inside of the school.

Mai: Haven't you already?

Kiko: What do you mean?

Mai: Do you even remember the day you and your cheer squad came into my class to do some ballet?

Kiko: Oh, right. I forgot.

So as the two girls were making their way to the school, Baton had been watching over them. So when he had seen the two girls leave the park, he left earth and went back to the darkness he called home.
