R o s i e entered the diner and it was full, she searched for a booth that was open but it was all ocupied. She turned to the corner to find more occupied ones, her eyes landed to a specific booth, with four pairs of intimidating eyes one her. two guys and two girls to be exact.

The girl on the further left who was wearing a blue sweater with a peter pan collar sticking out gave her a tight lipped smile, while the guy beside her wearing a gray hoodie went back to eating his fries, while the other one in the outer right with jet black hair stood up and walked past her.

Rosie looked up to him and he smirked, he was tall and slender. With his features and confidence, he definately stood out of the entire room. The girl in the middle wearing a white t-shirt with a deep v neck cut, emphasizing the cross necklace she had on her neck however; gave her an intimidating stare as she toyed with her salad. Rosie took a deep breath and turned to search for a seat by the diner bar, when she did she almost tripped over with how fast she was walking. She finally got to her seat and sighed.

"Yo Sehun," the waiter with the name tag that says Chen, called out someone behind her.

"Your double chocolate milkshake" Chen smiled at Rosie before handing Sehun his order. Rosie saw the guy earlier from the booth who smirked at her, beside her. He took the drink and went back to his original seat.

She followed him with her eyes, brows furrowed in confusion as she wondered whats with the weird welcome. Then someone tapped her shoulder, getting her attention. Chen smiled and motioned on the ticket in his hand, "Your order?"

"Oh um my dad already ordered, I'm here to pick it up" It sounded more of a question as Chen tried to recall, "Um, Mason Park?"

"Oh right! Wait a sec," Chen said and disappered onto the back.

"Hey!" somone chirped behind her startling Rosie, making her put her hand on her chest. She spun her chair around to see a ginger haired girl with a cheerful smile on her face, she was also wearing a uniform, and her name tag says Lisa.

"Oh sorry! I didn't mean to scare you..." Lisa put out a peace sign and sipped her ice tea.

"No, it's fine" Rosie smiled.

"So you're the new girl, where are you from?" Lisa said as she fixed her ponytail. Rosie was hesitant to say anything, not that she minded that some random person was talking to her. She just wasn't in the mood, also she didn't have the strength to return her energy because she was so hungry.

"Um, St. Louise. Knoxville?" Rosie said plainly, craining her neck to see when Chen is with her order.

"Oh from big city to small town," Lisa said before taking a bite of her burger, "So, are you attending Spacer High?"

"What?" Rosie had to ask again since, she cant understand what Lisa just said with a mouthful of burger.

Lisa held up her point finger and took a sip of her iced tea before rephrasing her question, "Which school are you attending?"

"Oh, um St. Judes"

"Too bad, I'm from Spacer. We would've been best friends" Lisa pouted.

Chen then appeared with a paper bag and settled it in front of Rosie, "That will be thirty two and fifteen scents" he informed.

Rosie gave him a fifty bill, and when he got back with her change he warned "Lisa, quit bombarding her with questions.". Lisa rolled her eyes in defense and smiled at Rosie, "Lisa by the way," and lent out her hand for Rosie to shake.

"Rosie," she replied.

Before Lisa could mumble another word, Rosie stepped down from the stool. "Um, I gotta go get back to my dad and my brother" she pointed to the paperbag, "It was nice meeting you though Lisa" she smiled.

"You too! Stop by anytime" Lisa waved, Rosie looked at Chen and said a quick thanks before she head out to her dad's car.

When she got near to her car, the BMW beside her moved backwards almost hitting her. Rosie stepped backwards, and the car completely stopped. The girl in the blue sweater went out of the diner and said, "Oh my god Suho, be more careful!"

Suho, went down and carefully eyed Rosie before saying "Are you okay? I'm sorry"

"I'm fine, but um- lights would be good maybe?" Rosie shyly ran her fingers through her hair.

"What's taking so long?" The other girl from the booth was now standing beside the first girl that went out, with her arms crossed.

"Suho almost hit this poor girl," the girl in the blue sweater held her wrist, "you sure you're okay?"

Rosie saw her face up close, she almost had no pores visible on her face. She had minimal make up that complemented her features, and kind eyes that made Rosie feel more insecure by the minute. All she could do was nod.

"All's fine and good, lets go now? Jisoo?" the other girl said in an annoyed tone, before getting in the back seat and slammed the door.

Jisoo sighed and smiled at Rosie once more, "C'mon Suho" and went in the passenger side of the car.

"Really sorry," Suho said once more before following them.

Rosie arrived back home to find her dad and Tobby playing Jengga. Rosie sat the paperbag down on the coffee table, before going in the kitchen to find some plates and utensils for them to use.

"A long wait to get burgers, hmm?" Her dad said in a suggestive tone, "did you make any friends?"

"Not quite, but I met some people who worked at the diner around my age" Rosie smiled and sat beside Tobby.

"Did you guys know, I once worked at that specific Diner?" her dad boasted.

"No way dad? How old is that diner then?" Tobby joked, getting a fry thrown at him from their dad.

"Why did you guys move dad? I mean this place isn't shabby at all" Rosie said, taking out her burger from the paper bag.

"Well you haven't seen the entire town," Her dad took a bite of his fry, "Wait till you see Thorn Hills"

"What's that a tourist spot?" Tobby asked.

"No it's a gated community here, they have a club house and all, very exclusive" Their dad said with a very enthusiatic manner.

"Sounds like a place grandma would stay in" Rosie laughed.

"That's where we stayed before, until your grandpops sold the house" their dad smiled, but Rosie saw an almost frown before her dad ate again.

She didn't dare to repeat her question earlier, her father was clearly avoiding the topic. But she couldn't help but get curious as to why, Sloane seems like the type of town her father talked about in his books as well as lectures. And it was clear that he had a very deep connection to it, she wanted to know more.

After they had finished dinner, Rosie proceeded to her room and was determined to get it arranged before dark. Her closet was bigger, but her room got smaller, compared to her old one. She was happy to have white walls this time, and all her old furniture was still intact.

She was looking on where to put her vinyl collection, when the window right infront of her suddenly light up. Showing her the boy she asked directions to the diner earlier, taking off his grease stained muscle shirt. His abs we're toned, but not as built as his arms. He turned to search his dresser for a new shirt, showing Rosie his broad back. Rosie gulped and quickly excited her room.

"DAAAAAD, where did we place the curtains?" She screamed from the top of the stairs.
