chapter 7

Ok so I am sososososo sorry for not updating in like 2 weeks. I was kinda stuck at what to write but i finally wrote something. So here it is!

 when she finally entered the common room, Harry and Ron looked concerned for her. They may have questioned her more if she had a large smile on her face, so she toned it down to make it look nervous. "hey? Um I'm sorry if I made you guys search the school or something, instead of enjoying the Ball, but all I did was go down to the grounds and read a book. I kinda realised Viktor was a no good scumbag." That made Ron and Harry brighten up a little but then Harry fell back into a serious tone

"look Hermione you're like our sister. We would never let you get hurt by anyone. Remember we will always be there for you." This made Hermione smile a little more. She was glad that she had so many people protecting her, like Harry and Draco. Even though Draco was on a slightly higher level... she was happy that so many people cared for her. And then she thought of Virgo. He was like a big brother to her; and then came the fact he had a crush on her. Oh gods! What would Virgo think of them kissing. He would be devastated. Virgo could not know. Oh no oh no oh no.

Draco's POV

He was still light- headed from the kiss. It felt like a dream he was living in. even when a 2nd year bumped into him, he didn't even scream at her or give her a bitter retort. He just walked on and thought of Hermione and their kiss. Would she not like him after that? Would she think he was weird for rushing into it or something? And then, raking a hand through his blond hair, a sudden thought hit him, "what would Virgo think. Oh no! his brother had had a crush on Granger for a while now and he was always suspicious when Draco hung around with her. And that was when well, nothing had happened. Who knew how he would be if he found out about the kiss. He would give Draco worse fate than the Dark Lord himself. And first and foremost, he was Draco's brother. He couldn't go around backstabbing Virgo in the gut. Soon, Weasley and Potter entered his head too. What they found out. They would accuse him of leading her on, even if Draco was doing the exact opposite. Oh no! this was bad. On the other hand, though, Draco didn't feel an ounce of remorse for kissing Hermione. He would remain firm and stubborn on that. On no account would he not have kissed her.

The next day

Virgo's POV

When he awoke the next morning, Draco was already up with a somewhat sheepish expression that lasted just a second, maybe it was a trick of the light? But Virgo wasn't that convinced, yet he knew prodding would only shut Draco more tightly. He and Hermione were, in some ways similar, they both were very stubborn, and preferred to keep to their books, Hermione more than Draco. Honestly though, Virgo wished he could ask her out, but he knew she wouldn't accept. So, he would have to make the most of the time they spent as friends. At least, at any rate he had an excuse to see her now because he hadn't caught up with her at the Yule Ball the night before and Virgo didn't know where she went after. Since today was a Saturday, the weekend, he was free with no classes so he could spend a little more time with her than usual.

He entered the Great Hall, and then realised he was an hour early because breakfast on weekends started an hour later than usual. So, Virgo went to the place Hermione was most likely to be, the library. But she wasn't there either. Hmm, maybe she was still sleeping? Well, he still had the rest of the day to talk so Virgo went to the common room and started on his essay about centaurs.

Hermione's POV

She and Draco had decided to meet before breakfast, they were less likely to be heard or seen by anyone. They met each other at the doorway and Draco gave Hermione a light kiss on the lips with a good morning. He seemed considerably lighter and happier, like he wasn't burdened by the world's problems anymore. Then they said at the exact same time, "Virgo cannot know!" but that was true. Also, they needed a way of communication because people would get suspicious of them spent too much time together and they couldn't keep disappearing, Hermione was running out of excuses. So, they brainstormed on ideas, now working better and better together. They finally came up with one. They could send letters to each other, like wizards of old. And to make sure no one would access them they could write Malfoy in a way like such: Milan Alabama Libya Finland. It would work. And if anyone else found it they would just associate it with random junk and leave it there. So, it wouldn't be suspicious at all. They decided to do that and, find spells for Harry. It was all they could do because he hadn't figured out the 'clue' from the last challenge.
