this is some Dramione & Viktor Krum asking Hermione to the Yule Ball. Also, can ya'll help me vote and comment? thanks!!After Harry defeated the Horntail, there was a grand celebration in the Gryffindor dorms. Hermione wasn't one for a party so she decided to go meet Draco in their normal meeting spot. The meeting spot had come about purely by accident, when they realised they kept meeting up at the same empty classroom along a deserted corridor. So, now to show it was the same classroom they always met at, they had made a little symbol at the side of the door where you could see only if you knew the right spot.
It was their initials H and D along a snake, their own version of a mark. At any rate, if anyone did notice it, they would probably pin it down to something You-Know-Who had done during his time at Hogwarts. Shortly after Hermione's arrival in the 'room', Draco stepped in. (he had only allowed her to call him by his first name because if she said Malfoy both he and Virgo would turn around. And then it kind of stuck). When Draco came in, his face was alight with joy and he made a fist pump as he said, "Yes Granger we did it! Our plan worked! Besides, you and I work well together!" In the halls, he had never been this informal with her and it made her laugh seeing him this way. Unfortunately, it made him realise it and catch himself and stop.
This made Hermione frown playfully as she egged him on saying, "I've never seen the two-year-old in you Draco. Come on do it again! It's hilarious." And then she dissolved into giggles burying her head down so he wouldn't see her. When she took her head up to gasp for air, she saw the Malfoy pouting like a toddler as he ascended on her, his hands outstretched. She only realised what he was doing, a moment too late. His hands seemed to find the spots she was most ticklish on, and he tickled her mercilessly, until she was gasping for breath, worse than ever. "Stop Draco!" she begged in between laughs. Ever the defiant Malfoy, he continued and that way they both ended up on the floor, him upon her. At that moment, in the faded light, she could see the more humane Draco Malfoy, for once not the picture of perfection, rather the opposite. His shirt was untucked, and his pants creased. His normally slicked back hair stood up in all angles and his eyes sparkled with joy and laughter. That one moment they spent together, she actually enjoyed this the most.
Then she realised the awkward position they were in, on top of each other, and she blushed a mad crimson. Damn Hermione, can't you even keep your feelings to yourself. She felt like she was a part of one of those sappy romance comedies that her parents liked to watch, when a girl liked a boy and didn't realise, followed by a lot of drama. But that was not the case. Besides, she only liked Draco as a friend. His cheeks too, were bathed in a soft champagne pink blush. He hastily got off her, and once again became the proud crisp gentleman he was. He helped Hermione up and to diffuse the tension, she laughed and responded, "You don't have to be the perfect gentleman all the time, you know Draco?" this made him blush further but it also made him erupt in laughter, a sound she had rarely heard from this Malfoy. Sneers yes, snickers yes. But pure laughter, that was not a sound that came from his mouth often. At that, she began to laugh and the rest of their 'meeting' was spent in recalling fond memories and sharing laughter together.
Narrator
They seemed the most unlikely pair, but somehow, suddenly Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger had done something not everyone could. They had made friends with one another, even though they were polar opposites. One free with light and virtue, another forced into darkness. Yet, in the coming war, they both would be very important, whether they liked it or not, knew it or not. As they parted for their separate ways, both of them, they felt like they had each made a friend in the other. And they both knew, as friends they would be a force to be reckoned with his cunningness and determination, paired with her smart moves and plan making skills.
