Chapter 15. 😲

"Grey, Grey stop. Shell just stop." Kayon shouts behind his daughter.

"What do you want dad?" She asks in an irritated tone.

"See dear I was right about him. See how he ruined not only yours but also your brothers love life. He doesn't deserve you. You just wasted five precious year's waiting for him and here he was enjoying with his family. But to be true, I never expected such a thing from him. So don't lament, just move on dear and forget him." She hugs her dad and cries.

Angela who's overhearing them gets shocked as Drayton never told her anything about Shelby and him. He told her that he came here as he misses his dad there and he has broken all ties with Zayon as he regards him responsible for Angela's disappearance.

"Mom." Crystal goes near her son's bed and holds his hand when he calls her. Remembering his beloved and his friend's betrayal tears start appearing in his eyes. He closes them to stop the tears but they still flow down.

Crystal wipes the tears from his cheeks and kisses his forehead. "Mom Angela and Dray..." Zayon is about to say something but Crystal cuts him off, "I know son, I know. Maybe you two weren't made for each other." Hearing her words fresh stream of tears start flowing down his eyes.

"So how's my prince?" Zayon's eyes open wide upon hearing Ednil's voice.

"Hey, Uncle Eddy, you here?" He asks but before Ednil could reply Alicia says, "and me too." Seeing her smile Zayon gets confused as in these five years she didn't even spare him a single glance.

Seeing her daughter happy after five whole years removed the hatred from Alicia's heart that she had for Zayon. Especially when she came to know about Dayon and when she first saw her cute little grandson.

"Am I forgiven?" Zayon asks hopefully. "Yes, my dear, you are forgiven." Saying so, Alicia sits at the foot of his bed, and you Uncle?" Zayon asks Ednil who replies, "I can't be angry with my family members, you know my weakness prince." Ednil smiles.

"Hey grandpa can I sit here?" Dayon asks Ednil pointing towards a chair beside him but instead of Ednil Crystal says, "come here dear, you can sit on my lap." Dayon is hesitant at first but Ednil smiles at him and directs him to go so he goes near Crystal and sits on her lap.

For some time there's total silence in the room until Kayon comes inside. He sits on a stool beside Crystal. Suddenly Dayon shocks everyone with his statement, "hey grandma, Mr Nobody and I have the same hair." All four pairs of eyes turn towards him.

"That's because you..." Ednil stops his sentence in the middle when Alicia furiously glares at him. Later on, he continues, "because there are many people in this world having the same hair colour."

But two pairs of eyes are looking carefully at Dayon. Those muddy brown hair, square-shaped face, average lips, straight eyebrows, a straight slim nose which are a typical Pride features and he knows it well. Now he only needs to confirm his doubt.

At Angela's house...

"Hi, Draaayyy..." Angela greets Drayton in a very sultry voice.

"H...Hi...Angela!" Drayton greets back.

"I want to tell you something." Angela, tells Drayton.

"Why are you asking my permission?" Drayton asks getting confused.

"I love you, Dray." Saying so she hugs him.

"What?" Drayton shouts pushing Angela away from him. "Oh come on Dray, I know you like me, even Grace shares the same view. Otherwise, tell me, why didn't you date even a single girl in these five years? Why you wasted five years of your life taking care of me and Dayon? Tell me why you used to remain awake when Dayon didn't let me sleep during the night time when he was a baby?"

"Because I'm your friend, a true friend who cares for you," Drayton replies.

"Tell me does a friend also becomes the father of another friend's son?" Angela raises her eyebrows.

"I see you as a sister, as a friend and nothing more," Drayton says in a low voice.

"Wow... That's why you fuc*** her, creating your own baby married her, started your own family with her because she's like a sister, like a friend for you. And there I was a fool who was waiting for you all these five years. I didn't even give a single glance towards any male in the hope that one day you'll return to me." Drayton gets shocked when Shelby suddenly appears inside the room while clapping her hands.

"See I told you he loves me. We are a happy family now." Angela tells Shelby who has tears in her eyes.

"How can you assume something like this Angela? Is this how you repay me for my help, for my support?" Drayton shouts angrily.

"Oh come on Dray enough of this drama. You can express your feelings now. No need to hide them. I know deep down you have some feelings for me. Just open your heart and express your love for me. I like you, Dray, we are a family now and I want this reality to remain intact." Saying so Angela goes near Drayton and is about to kiss him when he harshly pushes her aside.

"No Angela, I don't love you. I never saw you like that. I helped you with everything as I truly regard you as a sister and best friend but love, I cannot love you or any other girl because we fall in love only once in a lifetime and I already fell in love with Shell five years ago. When I came to London I was heartbroken because uncle Kayon rejected me for his daughter. He insulted me and so I got drunk. Seeing me in such a dishevelled State my father suffered from a heart stroke. When I got up in the morning he was already dead. I regard uncle as a reason for my father's death so I came to London away from all of them.

After taking a small pause he continues, " I was going to my office one day when I saw a man asking for help. His car broke down and in a hurry, he has forgotten his mobile too so he couldn't call an ambulance. His wife was in labour so I helped him reach the hospital and there I saw you and came to know that you were six months pregnant and all alone. I gave Dayon my name as I didn't want him to live without a father. I never dated a single girl because I still love Shelby."

"What? You two aren't married? Dayon isn't your son?" Shelby gets totally confused yet relieved.

"No we aren't married and Dayon isn't my son." Drayton says but regrets it when he hears a familiar voice, "so how long were you planning to hide the truth or is this your way to take the revenge?"
