Chapter 8. 😫

Zayon is beyond angry seeing Angela and Drayton in a semi-naked state. He clenches his fist and tries hard to stop the tears which are trying to spill out from his eyes. Why Angela, why? He mentally asks her.

"It's ok Zay. Everyone has a right to enjoy themselves. I always had a doubt but now I think it's clear that they both have some feelings for each other." Riha adds fuel to the fire.

"Maybe," Zayon replies. "Let's have a drink." Saying so she leads Zayon towards an empty corner. Zayon keeps on drinking one after the other. When she feels that he has drunk enough to lose his senses she asks him to leave the party. He's about to leave when Justin calls him and the playful smirk on Riha's face disappears.

"Hey, Zayon I'm so sorry man," Justin says.
"Sorry for what?" Zayon asks confused.
"Whatever happened with Angela. It's my party and I somehow feel guilty." Justin replies. "You don't have to worry Justin, Zayon just saw everything with his eyes and he knows who's fault it is, now let us leave." Saying so Riha drags Zayon outside and Justin looks at them in total confusion.

When they reach towards their car they hear a few footsteps approaching in the parking area. He turns around and his eyes become wide open seeing an unconscious Angela in Drayton's arms followed by one of their classmate Rider.

Zayon pulls his arm out of Riha's grip and goes near Drayton, "what happened to Angel?"

"I don't have time to explain." Saying so Drayton places her on the backseat of Rider's car and close the door.

Zayon pulls his arm and asks the same question again. Drayton removes Zayon's hand from his arms harshly and tells, "you could have asked this question there, you could have come when I called you for help but you didn't as you were busy assuming the unexpected thing in your mind. Now get lost."

Zayon stands there confused watching them leave. Riha calls him but ignoring her he goes inside and asks Justin about the whole incident. When Justin tells him everything he curses himself and feels guilty for the way he acted but at the same time, he feels satisfied that at least Drayton saved Angela on time when he himself couldn't.

Sunlight disturbs Angela's sleep. Opening her eyes she tries to get up but feels a pounding headache. Holding her head she looks around. She gets confused seeing herself inside her bedroom as the last time she remembers, she was in Justin's party and it was night. Then slowly-slowly all the incidence play in her mind. The last thing she remembers is drinking the fruit punch that boy offered her and rest everything is blurry.

She somehow sits up straight and places her head on the headboard and closes her eyes. After sometime when she feels a bit better she removes the duvet from her legs and tries to get up but again falls back on her bed. It's now that she realises what she's wearing. Then it clicks her that she's wearing Drayton's shirt and her panty only.

'How come I'm wearing Dray's shirt?' This thought confuses her. She tries to think hard what happened after she drank that fruit punch but her headache only increases. Then a blurred image of someone ripping her dress off appears in her mind but she couldn't remember the face clearly. 'Can it be Dray? No, he can never do such a thing.' She assures herself.

Just then the door opens and Alicia enters inside, "sweety you're finally awake. This is my third round in your room. Now drink this juice and then take this tablet it'll help you with your headache. Angela does that.   "Can we talk about yesterday?" Alicia asks her daughter. "Can I take a bath first? I'm feeling messed up." Angela requests her mom and Alicia nods her head in agreement and leaves the room.

After taking a bath Angela goes down to eat something. Her dad has already left for his office and others already ate their breakfast so she sat in the kitchen on a chair alone eating her breakfast. She hears footstep behind her when she looks back she sees Zayon standing behind her.

"Are you feeling all right Angel?" He asks her and she nods her head in agreement with a smiling face.

"Can you explain what happened last night?" She asks. Zayon sits beside her on an empty chair and starts to explain her without looking in her eyes. He tells her everything except his accusation and ignorance. Tears start falling down Angela's cheeks. Zayon rubs them with his thumb. "It's ok Angel nothing happened, Drayton saved you."

"Let's go to Drayton's house," Angela suggests. "we can go, later on, now you should take some rest." Zayon tries to change her mind but she is adamant to personally thank Drayton. After a little more argument Zayon finally gives in.

"Mom I'm going at Dray's house with Zay," Angela shouted and leaves before her mom could come and protest.

"What the hell is going on here?" Angela shouts as soon as she enters Drayton's house. As the door was already open in her excitement to thank him, Angela, rushed inside without even knocking at the door but what she sees inside increases her anger. Drayton and Riha were kissing. Drayton then pushes Riha. Before he could react Riha waves her fingers at him and with a smirk on her face leaves from there intentionally bumping her shoulder with Angela's. Zayon is watching all this with his jaws wide open.

"Why Drayton from all girls you choose only her for you?" Angela asks angrily. "It's not like this Angela. You're misunderstanding." Drayton tries to explain but Angela cuts him, "oh, so you mean to say that my eyes have got the supernatural ability to imagine things more lively." Angela throws her hands in the air out of frustration. Riha always tried to create problems in her life since high school and even though Angela forgave her she still doesn't want her included in their group and if Drayton becomes Riha's boyfriend then Angela will have to accept her in their group with no other option.

"She came here a few minutes ago and she was apologising for her friend Rook's misbehaviour towards Angela as Rook is a member of her group (friend circle). When I told her that the one whom she and her friend needs to apologise is you, Angela, she started flirting with me and suddenly she kissed me and in that very moment you entered." Drayton explained his situation to Angela.

"Anyway it's your mouth and you can put it anywhere and on anyone whenever and wherever you wish. I came here only to thank you for your help yesterday but I guess I came at the wrong timing and now I highly doubt that this new girl of your's has something to do with what happened with me last night. Angela then turned around holding Zayon's hand, " let's go Zay."

She halts in her track hearing Drayton's words, "first of all that bitch isn't my girl as she's more like Zayon's girl. I thought you won't even talk to him after what he did yesterday but here you are holding his hand." Zayon shoots a death glare towards Drayton.

"He wasn't there and you were, that's why you were able to save me. If he would have been there in your place he would have done the same." Angela defends Zayon.

"I guess you still don't know how he accused us and if I would have been in his place I wouldn't have accused you," Drayton smirked for the first time in front of her and she gave a confused look towards Zayon. Then Drayton told her how Zayon reacted yesterday. Tears started running down her cheeks as she left Zayon's hand instantly as if his touch burned her. 'How can he accuse her of such a thing when he knows her as her own self, since her childhood?' Angela thought but couldn't find the strength to voice her thought. Zayon tries to defend himself but she's too heartbroken to listen. She runs outside towards the car.
