♧ 11: The Bodyguard's Back in Business ♣
Longest hour of my life.
The moment I step off the plane I take a deep breath. I was so close to throwing my pack of peanuts directly at Trinity's big head the whole flight. I mean, really? Trinity found something wrong with every single aspect of the flight. The seats are too small; I can only eat unsalted peanuts; there are no TV's on this airplane; why don't you serve bubbled water; and anything else that Trinity could think of. God.
"I swear, that trip was longer than a flight back to the US," Paige tells me as she and Eleanor step next to me.
"Tell me about it," I mutter as I look over my shoulder, eyeing Trinity, who is still talking to the flight attendant about the insufficient amount of space in her overhead compartment.
"At least it's over now," Eleanor says as she runs her hands through her brown locks.
Paige and I both nod in agreement as we continue following the boys as the maneuver their way around the airport. Once we reach the front section, I'm greeted with the sound of cheering girls. Through the large glass doors, I can make out the crowd of hormonal girls standing outside the airport doors just waiting for a glimpse of One Direction.
How awesome.
The boys suddenly stop in front of us, and that's when I notice that someone much taller and buff is standing in the center. I look at Paige curiously and she mouths out his name, Paul. I should've known that it was him. He looks like he can punch a hole in the wall with just his pinky. His smile is in total contrast with his I'll-Kill-You demeanor.
"Paul!" Harry greets as he jumps on the burly man. "We've missed you!"
"I can't believe it! Our Paul is getting married tomorrow!" Louis cries out as he follows Harry's lead and jumps on him. "He's a big boy now."
Soon, the rest of the boys joined in on the group hug. Cheers and wails fill the large entrance. Eleanor, Paige and I just stand there, trying to keep ourselves from cracking up at the pile of boys being held up by one man.
"Hey boys, come on, don't suffocate Paul before we even get the chance to get married," a female voice came.
That's when I see her. She's walking towards us with a bright smile on her golden face. The white of her teeth stuck out on the tan complexion of her face and the black of her hair. Her dark features really pop, her thin eyebrows and her eyes.
God, does everyone the boys know have to be so stunning?
The boys all drop from Paul with disappointed looks. Paul soon wraps his arm around the woman's shoulder, placing a long kiss on her cheek. "Glad to see I was missed."
"Of course you were," Liam says.
"Yeah, while you were getting everything set up, Paige had to play our body guard," Zayn says jokingly.
"Really?" Paul asks surprised.
"I'm surprised we're not dead yet!" Louis exclaims dramatically.
"Wait," Paige says as she laces her fingers through Harry's. "Since when did I become your back-up body guard?"
"Since we all agreed on it," Niall answers, taking a single peanut and popping it into his mouth.
"Very descriptive, Niall," Paige says sarcastically.
"Thank you!" Niall replies giving her a toothy grin.
"Thanks for holding down the boys while I was gone, Miss. Paige," Paul says with a deep laugh, the kind that remind me of Santa Claus.
