Aftermath

 

  I keep coming to and from, I've heard voices, I've felt someone grab my hands and kiss my forehead, I feel something in my throat that makes it impossible for me to swallow or talk but those feelings fade as fast as they come. It's been like that for a while up until now. Now I managed to move my finger and am working on opening my eyes. The place I'm at is quiete I here nothing but a beeping sound and a whooshing one that has caught my curiosity. I'm fighting with everything in me and finally managed  to open them and my sense automatically go to the object obstructing my windpipe making me feel like I'm being deprived of air. I raise my hand and it lands on some sort of tube I nudge it a little and the pain is so bad it instantly has me crying the beeping gets louder and faster. And then the doors burst open I'm not able to see who comes in but I can hear people yelling out orders and someone holding down my arms not allowing me to remove the tube.

"Hello Miss.Rivers, I'm nurse Kelly. I know you feel a little discomfort and it will go away in a second but I need you to stay as still as possible ok? Blink for me if you understand."

I blink a couple of times letting her know I understood and trying to get her to hurry. She smiles sweetly at me and gets to work a minute or two later  the tube is pulled out leaving me in a coughing mess, some one trusts a cup of water in my line of view wich I take and drink gredaly, when I'm finished i look up to see I'm in a white room with baby blue here and there and about 4 women who i assume are nurses taking my vital and doing some test. When they are done all but one leaves and a male doctor walks in making me squirm to the head of the bed and pull the sheets up to my neck.

"Oh, your quite alright sweetheart if it makes you feel better I will stand over here by the door and nurse Kelly can stand by the bed, yeah?" He questions and I nod my head he takes a couple of steps back and the nurse stands between me and him.

"Alright Miss Rivers, I need to know if you remember why your here." I nod my head not wanting to talk, I want to make this as fast as possible. "Does anything hurt." I shake my head keeping my eyes on him. "Good, are you hungry?" I nood again. "Ok I'll get someone to get you food. We have contacted your family they will be here in a little bit. If anything feels off, if anything hurts or you find yourself questioning anything at all just press the button to yout right and a nurse will come and get me ok?" I nod again.

"Alright I'm gonna give you some time to rest, nurse Kelly is going to draw some blood and do some test and when the results are out I'll come to read them to you ok?" I nod again and after writing somethings down he heads out.

The nurse draws blood, helps me get myself cleaned up and brings some food for me, when I'm done eating she leaves and after a while of silence the doors burst open again and when I look up I'm meet with Jamie, Vegas and Kevin staring at me I panic a little and pressed my body to the other side of the bed. Jamie tries to step foward but a squeal leaves my lips, Vegas extends his hands but tears fill my eyes and then Kevin tries and I want to so badly to allow him to come close, I want him to hold me, and tell me I was gonna be ok but I couldn't my body and mind were telling me that I shouldn't allow them to come closer. The way he looked at me as if I had broken him, as if he needed me more than I needed him but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't.

I reached my hand out and noticed they followed my every movement. My fingers graced the call button and I pressed hoping someone would come. After a few seconds nurse Kelly came runing in out of breath and stopped when she noticed the 3 big men that were standing at the foot of my bed.

"Are you ok Miss Rivers?" She asked looking back and forth and I shook my head while a sob escaped me. She quickly pushed her way toward me and sat at the edge of my bed I crawled toward her and she enveloped me in her arms while I cried.
