I Love You?

His kiss was like a drug taking parts of me that I never knew I had. I honestly felt like I could kiss him forever. I look up at him smiling as he sets me on the bed softly. At this point I am only in my bra and panties the clothes he had given me were throw across the room. "You're so beautiful." He whispers resting a hand on my hip causing an explosion of butterflies throughout my body. My eyes travel down his body smiling as he hovers shirtless over me.

"I love you." I blurt out as my eyes go wide. Those were the words we both agreed to stay away from. We didn't wanna put titles on us we wanted to be us with no expectations. No letdowns. In that moment I couldn't help myself. The words came out faster than a bullet.

I can feel my heart race as he remains silent studying my face carefully as if trying to find any sign of a lie. "Henley.." His voice finally lets out. I feel my breath catch in my throat as I keep my eyes steady on him. He sighs suddenly removing his hands from me before laying down next to me. I finally breathe out feeling all the air drain out of me like a deflated balloon.

"I'm sorry it just slipped out..." I mumble as I listen closely to him feeling my surrounds get blurry.

"I think things are going to fast..." he mumbles out as I feel the world underneath get pulled out. I knew in that moment I fucked up. I suddenly realize how exposed I am laying half naked next to him in all sense of the words.

I nod sitting up quickly keeping my face hidden from him. I didn't wanna cry at least not in front of him. I urged myself to hold it in until I was alone. I heard him sigh from besides me as I grab the shirt he gave me pulling it over my head. "Don't go." He mumbles softly as he sits up.

"It's late I should check on Cece. She has a habit of turning over on her back. She drank a lot. I wouldn't want her to choke to death." I shrug as I stand up grabbing the sweats from the floor. I look over at him before putting them on. His expression is blank definitely something I'm not use to.

"Yeah." He says nodding as he looks away from me. I couldn't help but feel crushed. In my wildest dreams I had never imagined falling love let alone being the first one to say it. I felt embarrassed as I grab my phone from his night stand.

"Goodnight." I mumble before quickly exiting his room. The moment I step foot into the hallway I feel my whole body sigh. As I made my way down the hall I knew I couldn't spend another minute in this house. Not after that at least. I check on Cecilia smiling as she lays on her stomach before grabbing my bag and heading out the front door.

The moment I get to my car I feel my whole body shake. How could three little words cause this much damage? My whole world was turned upside down in a matter of minutes. I had never felt so awake with anxiousness as I drive off quickly. I had every intention of going home but instead I called the one person that I knew could fix this feeling. Lewis.
