Yoongi sat in the café impatiently, his booted foot tapping against the polished hardwood floors rhythmically.

Others in the café glared at him slightly, his boot was making more noise than he thought. The repetitive tapping pressing on some inhabitants pet peeves. Yoongi didn't notice though, his thoughts too occupied for him care about the people staring at him.

Thankfully, before a near by woman could yell at Yoongi for his relentless tapping, the person Yoongi was waiting so anxiously for finally walked into their set meeting place.

Hoseok was fitted in a dark green, silk, button up shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, he was wearing white dress pants with a black belt, his shoes black oxford loafers. His black hair was a bit curled at the ends, which, as a result, gave him a laid-back, yet professional, look. Silver and gold braclets accented his wrists and a single ring was on his left middle finger.

In conclusion, he looked good and Yoongi was extremely meticulous.

The anxiety that coursed through Hoseok's veins completely overpowered the attraction he felt when he saw Yoongi sitting near the window of the cafe. The elder male's platinum blond hair had slight waves going through it and he was wearing his glasses; which was a surprise to Hoseok. Yoongi's outfit was much simplier than Hoseok's, given the younger had just gotten out of the office, he was wearing blue jeans with a red bomber jacket, with a black t-shirt underneath that matched his black veins.

Hoseok had chosen the Dior cafe since, one, it was close to his job; about a 10 mintue walk away. And, two, it was familiar. He and his collegues would often visit the cafe in the morning and for lunch, so he was a regular. Plus, Hoseok required that familiarity while he had this talk with his ex lover.

When Hoseok sat down across from Yoongi, his anxiety only worsened. He hadn't been this close to the elder in years and now didn't know how to react now that he was. It was something he longed for, for so long, yet it felt wrong to him.

Yoongi cleared his throat, breaking Hoseok out of his thoughts, "How have you been?" he asked the younger, who chuckled softly at the question.

Nice ice-breaker, good way to make things more awkward, Yoongi, the elder male scolded himself in his head, hating how it was like he couldn't talk to Hoseok anymore.

"Well," was the vaugest answer Hoseok could give without getting a scar, the younger crossed his arms over his chest as he stared at the blond in front of him, "and you?"

Yoongi bit his lip anxiously, "Fine," he answered, which was the simple truth. He was neither good, nor bad, he was just fine.

Though for others, the word Fine has so many different meaning behind it.

The two found themselves in another fit of silence, their waitress coming and writing down their drink orders before disappearing. She could even feel the tense atmosphere, she felt suffocated by it. She didn't even want to imagine what those two must be talking about.

Fed up with the silence, Yoongi finally began speaking, "C'mon, Hoseok," he spoke softly, looking at the younger with his feline like eyes, "I know you have questions, I wanted to talk, not sit in silence and think." their was an edge to his voice by the end of the sentence, which had Hoseok's stare turning into more of a glare.

"Okay," Hoseok adjusted himself, leaning onto the table as he asked, "who's the boy?"

Yoongi could feel the lump form in his throat, he could feel the pain and regret as he swallowed it down. He braced himself as he answered the question, "His name is SeokYoon, he's my son. He's turning 2." Yoongi let his lips press into a thin line once the words escaped his mouth, he couldn't stomach Hoseok's expression.

Hoseok felt like all of his breath got knocked out of his lungs, he felt his shoulders slouch and his heart scream out in pain. He didn't want it to be true, he didn't want to be right.

"Please tell me it's a lie, that you're joking." Hoseok pleas, his eyes glossy and heart aching as he looks at the elder male.

Though he knew, he knew good and well that it wasn't a lie. Because he knows Yoongi, or, he knew Yoongi. He knew the elder hated the feeling of cuts and he saw no sign of pain on the elder's face. Physical pain, atleast. The emotional and mental pain was evident.

After he composed himself, atleast to the point he could talk, Hoseok inquires, "When?"

Yoongi sighs before responding, "My senior year of college, atleast, towards the end of it. My friend and I were both hurting, so we drank, we ended up having..." Yoongi trailed off, he glanced at Hoseok before continuing, "and she got pregnant. She wasn't going to rid herself of the child, even if I wanted too, and I wasn't going to be an asshole and abandon her since it takes two to make a baby and I was just as responsible. Fast forward, we had a rough time but are making it through day by day."

Hoseok just nodded, processing the information before asking his next question, "Are you and your friend together?" he bit his lip after he asked, not wanting, yet needing, to know the answer.

His question was met with the quick shaking of Yoongi's head, "No," he replied instantly, "Suran is my friend, my child's mother, but she is not, by any means, my lover. We tried for the baby, but we realized we couldn't."

"Wow," was all Hoseok had to say, the male keeping his tears at bay even though he wanted to cry right then and there.

The waitress, her name Luna, came and collected their orders before scurrying off once more. The tension still thick in the air.

Once she was gone, Hoseok asked the question that's been eating him alive for the past four years.

"Why didn't you try, and why haven't you, contacted me?"
