The boys in One Direction were pretty much done with the whole band thing. At 30 years old, Liam decided he was going to look to adopt a girl. He mentioned it to the others one night. They still lived together, minus Zayn, who lived down the street with Perrie.
“Lads, I’ve been thinking. I want to look to adopt a kid. Anyone else?”
“I have been thinking the same thing, babe.” Niall said from where he was sitting on the floor in between Liam’s dangling legs.
Niall and Liam were “together” and so were Louis and Harry. Liam smiled down at Niall and nodded.
“I think that’s a good idea. What where you thinking age-wise?” Louis asked.
“I don’t really know, a girl maybe 12?”
“Ok, sounds good. Are well all in?”
“Sure!” Harry said. Louis and him were on the floor on their stomachs, watching a film.
“Tomorrow we go to the Jackson Adoption Center?”
“I’ll call,” Louis said. He got up and went into the kitchen. A few minutes later, he returned. “We can be there at 10:30 to meet the kids. She said there was this girl, Madeline-Grace, who has been there for 8 years that she thinks will be a good fit for us.”
“Cool. Well, I’m gonna go to bed. Night Lou, night Haz. Ni, I’ll see you up there.” Liam stood up and went upstairs. He couldn’t wait for tomorrow!
“Niall! Niall! Wake up babe!!! It’s 9:15!!! We have to leave soon!” Liam shook Niall awake the next morning and kissed him.
“Is it…. Today?” Niall asked tiredly.
“Uh huh! Going to meet Madeline-Grace!!!” Liam was so excited.
“Ok, I’m up. Go bug Lou and Haz.” Niall sat up and hugged Liam.
Liam ran into Louis and Harry’s room and was a little calmer. Louis was already up, but Harry was fast asleep.
“Lou, wake Harry up. We need to leave in 45 minutes.” Liam smiled at Louis and left.
In 10 minutes, everyone was downstairs and eating breakfast. Liam was already done and dressed, ready to leave. Liam sat down and stared at the clock.
At exactly 10:00, the four boys were walking out. Louis was driving, Harry in his car; Niall was going to drive his car with Liam as passenger.
As they parked and went in to the building, the four lads could see many children running around and playing with each other. Harry grabbed Louis’s hand and they all walked up to the front desk.
