“Liam, Niall, MG!! Come on!!” Louis came up to them and walk faster with them. “Ready? Amber is there and she is waiting!!” Louis was so excited and he was jumping everywhere.
“Lou, babe, calm down. They are coming.” Harry grabbed Louis’s hand and kissed him.
“I know! I’m just excited!!!!!”
They entered the JAC and met Amber again.
“So, I hear you are looking to adopt another one! How are you MG? Is your new family good?”
“Yes ma’am. I love them very much.”
“Good, good. Liam, how is she doing?”
“Good, I love her a whole lot and I have missed her.” As soon as he said that, Amber looked confused and Liam wished he hadn’t said it.
“Missed her?”
“Uh, yeah. I am her real father.”
“I see… you left after birth and then her mother died. I’ve read the files, Mr. Payne.” Amber seemed happy.
“But it’s Ok because I really love him and Niall and Lou and Harry. They are just like family.” MG smiled and Liam side-hugged her.
“Ok, well onto the adopting. What age?” They had already talked about it with everyone and Lou and Harry decided they want to just meet some kids and see whom they really liked. They told Amber and she nodded.
“Lot’s of adoptions happen like that. Ok, well, I’ll take you to the lunchroom first, the little ones are eating lunch now.”
MG gripped Liam’s hand tighter and walked with the rest of the boys to the cafeteria.
“Amber?” Louis spoke up.
“Yes?”
“I know you called us about Kai…” Louis swallowed hard.
“Go on,” Amber encouraged.
“Well, we were wondering if Kai had any siblings here.”
“Um, last name?”
“Wilson.” Harry rubbed his thumb over Louis’s hand.
“Wilson, Wilson… YES! Jace! Jace is 2, Kai’s older brother. He cried when Kai… well, you know…”
“Could we meet him maybe?” Harry asked.
“Sure, he is in lunch now.”
Liam let go of MG’s hand to rub Harry’s shoulders. “Dad,” MG said, unhappily and scared.
