A/N: Let's just squeal at how adorable this is! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Three years had passed since the attack on the Brown's. There were no long-term repercussions of Austin's concussion. Every so often Georgia would have a weird ghost pain where she'd been stabbed but that was it. The band were gaining more and more popularity and notoriety. Especially amongst their peers. They were regular performers at the CMA after parties, regular presenters, and more than occasional performers on the CMA's. They had yet to be nominated but there was still hope for them.

Nate and Genesis were still dating behind everyone's backs. The holidays were the worst. Both wanted to be together but knew they couldn't. They'd take selfies and send to one another or take photos to upload to their FB group which they'd save the photos to their phones. One Thanksgiving, Nate couldn't stand it anymore. He told his family he was going to spend the holiday with his girlfriend's family.

Genesis was anxious to see him again since it had been several months since they'd last seen one another. He drove all the way from Wisconsin to Nederland just to see her which made her all giddy and giggly and feel like she was walking on cloud nine. "There's something wrong with that girl!" Kalene noted making Dena laugh.

"She's in love, sweetie!" Dena retorted.

"She's never mentioned anyone in her life. We tell each other everything." Kalene looked at her mother-in-law.

"Trust me. There's a young man in her life." Dena smiled all knowing-like.

Kalene kept a close watch on her daughter. Genesis was on her phone constantly but that was nothing unusual. Was one of these people her little secret boyfriend? There were too many things to do for her to worry about something that probably wasn't even true. Tim was decorating the house for Thanksgiving. His sister Emily was coming to Thanksgiving with her husband David and their one-year-old daughter Elizabeth.

This was the first time they'd actually hosted it in their house. Dena had always had it in hers. Linda and Paul were coming as well so Kalene was really nervous. She had hosted two people before but not more than that. And this was one of the two biggest "family holidays" of the year. She just wanted everyone to have a good time, have a wonderful meal, and make some fabulous memories together.

"Sweetie, could you run and get some more potatoes? I think we need another two cartons of eggs too. Maybe another onion." Dena chuckled, "I swear I thought we got all we needed the other day."

"It's ok, Dena. Send me a text if you think of anything while I'm out." Kalene smiled.

She asked her husband and daughter if they needed anything while she was out and both said no. Genesis was more interested in texting than anything else. Nate had downloaded an app that let him speak and it would turn it to text so he could reply to her without taking his hands off the wheel. Kalene had to drive around to the small little local grocery store to find a shop that was still open. To her surprise, there were people still out buying groceries.

As she was leaving the store, she looked across the street and thought she recognized a man sitting in a pick-up that looked like Nate. She was about to call out to him, it was a mild low-70's outside and most folks had their windows rolled down, but he pulled out of his parking space and drove off. Kalene headed home to get back to helping with the Thanksgiving meal.

"Hey sweetie?" Kalene looked over at Tim, "I thought I saw Nate in town. Before I could call out to him, he drove off. I thought he lived in Wisconsin?"

"He does. I didn't think he was going to be down here. I wonder what happened? Let me call him and see what's going on. Maybe just a look-a-like!" Tim chuckled, "Oh, Gen asked to go visit one of her friends for a little while so I gave her the go-ahead since she's been helping me quite a bit this morning. She knows when to be home."
