Reflections and Shadows

Always There

Baby, whenever you close those eyes of such dazzling blue,
hold tight to these words of mine which are truly true.

Though lands and borders stretch far to keep us apart,
never could you be closer to my soul and nearer to my heart.

If the time and space between us seems painfully empty and bare,
just please remember that my thoughts and warmth are always there. 

For if ever sad or alone, afraid or hurt you should start to feel,
rush to my embrace, where I can smother those woes that chill.

For the Sun and the Moon hang so very high in the heavens above,
so they can keep watch over the beautiful Ray which they both love.
