[Silverton Household - Evergreen Village]

[Hakio]

"I'm tired..." I said as I reached the door of the house I hadn't seen for a month now. The nostalgic feeling I had right now was the strongest I have ever felt that.

Or maybe its what people refer to as homesickness?

I don't know.

Looking back at everything that happened with me during the Initiation Festival, I changed a lot. I wonder how Ma would feel about all of it.

"You think you're the only one who's tired, I'm the one in trouble, here..." Said my oh-so-lovely sister.

Her shoulders were slumped and her body looked like it was about to collapse as soon as we enter the house.

I had to admit, in physical appearance, she definitely beats me in who looks the most tired.

"I'll open the door, Mast-Hakio." Suzu offered but I raised my hand to stop her.

I then counted down with my fingers.

3... 2.... 1.... 0.

Boom!

The door was opened so fast and with so much force I was amazed to see that the door was still attached after that action. It was the one person I really wanted to see right now.

"My babies!" She yelled and hugged the both of us. I was used to the hugs being so devastatingly painful but the it seemed to be stronger than usual.

I can't breathe!!

"I... missed you... Ma." I said and hugged back.

It was a nice feeling. The warmth from Ma that I had missed for so long. The smell of of her fire red hair. Her love for the colour purple and her strong dislike for curse words.

"I missed you two!" She said and began looking at us for any changes when she noticed the change in my hair.

Then I heard a sniffling sound.

"I also want a hug... Snf..." Suzu mumbled as she pretended to cry.

Ma's ears flicked at the sound of an unfamiliar voice. She turned to her left and saw the twin-tailed kitsune. Her eyes a mix of confusion and what looks like a glare at me.

"Did you bring a girlfriend to my house, Hakio Silverton?" Her voice sounded so chilly that it felt as though my entire body passed through a frozen object for moment.

"She's not my girlfriend..." I said facepalming myself.  Is everyone going to reach that train of thought. I turned to Mika for help but saw that she had escaped through the confusion of my mother into the house...

... Well played...

"Then who are you exactly?" She turned back to Suzu, expected a really, really good excuse.

Suzu raised her right arm and show her smooth skin by lifting the sleeve of her dress. I noticed what she was doing and did the same with mine.

We both showed the markings on our arms.

"I am Suzu. Hakio's familiar. Please to meet you, Mrs Silverton." Suzu said and bowed politely.

That's my girl!

She did it perfectly. Its good to be in my mother's good books. Wait, why does it sound to me like I'm a worried boyfriend?

Ma studied her for a moment again and then looked back at me.
