[Santiago's Labyrinth - Mist Forest]
[Lucifer]
Breaking the bones of that simpleton was fairly easy. From what I had gathered from Isaac's mind was that this catboy loves the art of the sword.
I smirked.
Taking that away from him must have been even worse than killing him.
He dropped to his knees and gave an ear-piercing scream. Tears ran down his cheeks while his face was a mixture of shock and pain. The simpleton was unable to accept the reality that was brought upon him.
I find people like him truly amazing. Truly.
How in the name of everything evil (...oh! That's me!) can someone dive in the line of fire and expect nothing to happen to them at all? Do they honestly believe that there is some phenomenon protecting from being killed or even worse? Laughable. Their awareness and acceptance of danger is truly laughable.
"The world is far from sugar-coated roses. This is the real -" I emphasize my point by kicking him against the side of his head. "- TRUTH OF THE WORLD!"
He flew against a few of the familiars and knocked them out as well. Good. He's screaming was bothering all of us.
"It looks like I'll take my body back," I muttered and then stood up straight. My clothing was a bit damaged but that can be forgiven. I am someone who can be lenient at times. A king who only rules with tyranny is not someone who can be called a king at all. That is basically asking to be overthrown.
Weak. Those do not even deserve to be kings in the first place.
The familiars around me were starting to become restless. They knew that they stood no chance of winning and if they came closer now then their death was certain.
My eyes were telling them that.
I then got into a running stance. The target was Alzadon's Grimoire, that was tied around that boy's neck while he was being shielded by his familiar. That twin tailed kitsune.
She was trying to bring him back into a state of consciousness, but that was not going work.
I am certain because of his eyes.
They were similar to Isaac's but the premise was completely different. While Isaac's eyes were those of someone who is looking for hope, that boy has lost all hope. He is someone who does not believe that there is any hope left.
Isaac knows that his hands are the ones that have been used to hurt everyone, but he still has the objective mind state to blame me. As long as he continues to believe that I am the blame for all of this, I cannot make him succumb to despair as hoped and using any of my own magic is hopeless.
That boy on the other hand, believes that all of this is his fault. He blames himself for how much physical damage the kitsune took, how many familiar have died and how that catboy will live for the rest of his life. He is blaming himself for all of this. That's why he is unable to move. Every thing, every decision to him is the wrong one.
That is the look of someone who has hit rock bottom.
It is funny, if Isaac and this boy's roles had been reversed, the situation would have been much worse and I would have won much easier. This is completely laughable.
