Yasu woke up when the morning was still dark. He had laze around the house long enough. He needed to get back to his routine. Yasu slowly crawled out of bed, tucking in the blanket around Gin before he washed up and left.
The quiet morning gave him a new release in life. Maybe it was because he was suddenly seeing the world in a new light with a new love, but everything around him seemed more beautiful.
As he went through his morning training routine, he was slowly joined by his servants without a word. After their warm up they began to spar with one another. Taking turns with coaching and watching each spar match.
By the time the sun was rising, they finished their training and took a quick bath before beginning their day as servants for Black Fox Teahouse. Because Gin woke up late, he was in a foul mood, not speaking to anyone.
Yasu sat next to him as he huffed and puffed. The food that was in his bowl was pushed around while he ate one kernel of rice at a time. His lips pouted out in unhappiness as he threw sad gazes at Yasu as if he had been wronged.
Yasu could only sigh at the sight of his big puppy. Last night he was a wild wolf, but now he was a sad puppy. Yasu reached out and deboned a whole fish, placing the meat carefully into the puppy's rice bowl.
"Eat and be happy." Yasu told him as he looked over. "If you don't eat, you won't have any strength. And if you don't have any strength, you won't be able to be a wild wolf for me."
Yasu saw the corner of Gin's mouth twitch with amusement. However he still didn't touch the fish that was offered by Yasu.
"Not going to eat?" Yasu asked as he glared at the disobedient puppy. "You must not want to eat meat then."
Facing the thought that he won't be able to eat Yasu's meat, Gin began shoveling down the food into his mouth quickly.
"Slow down!" Yasu shouted as he saw Gin's wild action. "You'll choke on your food. There's no one here that will steal your food away from you!"
Just like Yasu predicted, Gin began coughing as his food went down the wrong way. Patting Gin's back, Yasu picked up his own teacup and helped Gin drink some tea to clear his throat.
"How old are you that you are choking on your food like a little child?" Yasu nagged. "Eat properly and you won't choke on your food!"
Gin nodded his head as he finished the tea and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. His roguish manners made Yasu want to drag Gin back to bed, but he quickly suppressed the heat that rose in his body.
"Go. Get to work." Yasu told him as he looked out the window to calm his mind and body. "I didn't reprimand you for waking up late. Are you going to go to work late as well?"
"I wouldn't have woken up late, if you have woken me up when you did." Gin softly replied as if him waking up in bed alone was the worst thing that Yasu ever did to him.
"Oh, so it's my fault that I wanted to pamper you and let you rest?"
Seeing how things weren't going his way, Gin quickly embraced Yasu to calm him down.
"It's not that not I'm thankful for your consideration and your love. It's just that I don't like to wake up alone in bed." Gin told him as he kissed Yasu's ear. His wandering hands began to rub Yasu's back and butt. "Being with you is like a dream. I never thought I would be with someone so handsome, talented and charming. I never thought I would be able to find a home and build a life with someone I hold dear to my heart. Waking up with you in my arms is comforting and it confirms that my life with you isn't a dream. So when I woke up alone in bed this morning... I --"
Gin's lips were quickly sealed by Yasu's lips. Their kiss was gentle and sweet. When Yasu pulled away, he pecked Gin's lips a couple more times before smiling at him.
"I'll wake you up next time." Yasu told him. His heart was beating fast and it felt so full of love. "You're late to work, Boss Gin. I hear the owner can be quite formidable once he's angered."
Gin smiled back and licked his lips as if he did not get enough taste of Yasu's lips.
"I wouldn't want to anger the owner." Gin said as he reluctantly stood up and left. Every couple of steps he would turn around and look back at Yasu as if he didn't want to leave. In the end, Yasu was left alone in the main house, with cold food and tea, but his heart was warm.
