With two guards by Yasu’s side, the travel back to Nijo felt more safe.  They traveled back with a steady pace and was able to reach Nijo before the city gate closed for the night.

The three of them made their way to the Black Fox Teahouse and entered through the back gate.  Gin had been standing by the back gate, waiting for Yasu since they closed the teahouse.  

“Welcome back.”  Gin said as his eyes looked between Ken and Kei.  

“Welcome back, Young Master.”  Fuyu and Kazno said at the same time.  They too had been waiting for Yasu once they found out that he would be returning.

Fuyu and Kazno took care of the horses while Gin lead the way back to the main house.  None of them spoke until they sat alone in the receiving room.  

“Gin, this is Ken and Kei.  They have been assigned to protect me.”  Yasu told him. “Ken, Kei, this is Gin. My companion and manager to Black Fox.  Should you need anything or have any questions, you can ask Gin.”

Ken and Kei greeted Gin and stood to the side.  

“We can talk once we’re clean and fed.”  Yasu ordered.  

Gin quickly arranged everything per Yasu’s request and checked the kitchen several times to ensure that there was enough food for the three of them.  

Once the three of them were clean and full, Gin show Ken and Kei to their rooms in the main house.  They didn’t have enough bedrooms in the side house, so it only made sense for Ken and Kei to stay in the main house.

“Goodnight.”  Gin whispered before kissing the crown of Yasu’s head before falling asleep himself.”
