By the morning light I had been successful with having a boy over secretly. Billy was still laying on his side of my bed when I awoke to the burning daylight illuminating through the cracks of my blinds. The soft snores escaped through his pouted lips as he slept peacefully on his stomach. He cuddled the pillow he had under his head with my thick blankets engulfing every part of his body except for his leg that stuck out over the edge and his exposed back that was rippling with muscles and claw marks.

In a way it felt like we were together. It felt like we were in a happy, stable relationship. With him laying next to me asleep, it was like I could sense something tugging at my heart with the tender emotion that was clawing at my chest.

That was until he moved his head, making his bunches of curls move to the side to reveal a mouth sized love bite on the spot below his ear.

I knitted my eyebrows at the bruised area and quickly sat up to get a closer look. It looked to be fresh. Almost like it had happened in the last day.

I, personally, don't remember giving Billy a mark the last time we had slept together, but if I did then it wouldn't be on his neck where it was the most visible.

I couldn't help but gawk at the mark and let my thoughts spiral out of control until I heard the sound of the doorbell ringing.

My eyes became immense when I heard the sound ring through the air.

I immediately shot out of my bed, almost waking up Billy in the process, then dashed out of my room to see who was at the door.

Without tripping down the staircase, I made it to my front entrance to unlock and whip it open to see a familiar fiery red head standing outside.

"Miss Harrington?" I saw Max staring at me with her eyes flashing with confusion.
"What're you doing here?"

"I live here."

Her face lifts immediately to make her appearance seem more kind, but forward.

"Oh, you're Steve's sister. I forgot."
She still looked confused as her eyes wondered everywhere else except for me as she nodded her head in understanding.
"Where's Steve?"

"He's most likely at Dustin's house."

"Oh, okay. Sorry to wake you." She said, gesturing to my T-shirt and pajama shorts I was still wearing.

I was close to telling her that I forgave her intrusion until we both heard a voice coming down the set of stairs.

"Kristal, babe," I heard Billy's rough morning voice.
