Chapter 15

Zeke’s P.O.V

FF a few weeks: after the funeral and kiss between Zeke and Stryker.

Well, not only was I living with my two cousins who I don’t even know well, along with their girlfriend and boyfriend. I decide I didn’t want to live with my dad, but agreed to get to know and spend time with him.

As for me and Stryker we are now unofficial couple. No one knows about us not even our friends know about us. I felt I wasn’t ready to come out just yet, but Stryker was ready and willing. Sure they may or may not know, but it’s no one’s business about my life.

I was in my room catching up on my homework that I had miss, it wasn’t very much. I rather get it done and out of the way so I could have time for myself.

I was about to start on my last bit of homework, math, when a song went off.

What the hell? I looked around my table to find my new cell phone.

“Hello!?” my cousins got sick and tired of me using the house phone when my friends called. That and the fact that I never owned a cell phone in my entire life, which they found to be sad and pathetic. Since I never watch TV I’m forced to watch it at least three times a week for at least an hour.

To me this is punishment and they only figured that out when I refused to tell them where the remote was and said it turns your brains into mush.

“HEY SUP ZEE?” I had to pull the phone away from my ear after the first word was yelled.

“Thanks for the unneeded earache,” who is this anyway?

“You’re welcome, anyways Rayden, December, Archer and I were wondering if you wanted to come to the mall with us?”

“Maddie?”

“Duh, who did you think this was, Santa clause,” she retorted, yup this is Maddie only she would say something like that.

“I don’t know Maddie, I have homework to catch up on an....”

“Aww come on Zekey your the smartest kid in the school. And I pretty sure you’ll catch up in no time,” she has a point, but I can’t I told Stryker I will be here all day, “and besides everyone is gonna be there, but you.”

“And not to mention the fact, it would be awkward for Liam,” Liam?

“Why did you invite Liam when you know the rest don’t like him?”

“Well for one thing is that he’s new to the school without a friend and he is your stepbrother”

“Thanks for the reminder,” I rubbed my eyes out of frustration. I mean I don’t need people telling me that Liam is now my stepbrother and the fact I have half sister with him.

I still can’t believe he thought I would be honk dory with this. Sure I may not want to live with him, but at least I’m giving him and his stupid family a chance.

“Are you even listening to me?”

“Oh I’m sorry Maddie what did you say,” maybe I could fake listen to her.

“So as I was saying, since Hopper, Stryker, Keagan and Codie are having guy’s night. Maybe we could have one of our own, and Liam could be part of it too,” she finally let out a breath.

I can’t believe what I am about to agree with, “Fine what time do you guys want to go?”

“YES!” if I was standing beside her right now, she would be doing a happy dance.

“Ok just come downstairs”

“What? Why?”

“Cause we are already here,” December voice spoke from behind me causing me to drop my phone and jumping a few inches in the air.

“Jeez give me a heart-attack why do you?”My hand was over my chest feeling my heart beat fast.

“It was plan along,” December remarked sarcastically.

“Oh we invited Sam and Tess to come with us for a girl’s night,” Rayden chirped from closet beside him was Archer.

“And we sent Lennox and Sage to my house where they are having guys night,” Archer filled in.

“I thought it be better if we sent Liam with them, since he neither girl nor gay for girls night,” Rayden was still looking through my closet. Why is he going through my closet?

“Girls I think we have to do major damage control,” he piped up. Turning around holding up my vest sweater that goes along with my white tee-shirt, I usually wear that on picture day and sometimes when I feel like it.

“We definitely need to do some major shopping,” Maddie and December said together.

After many store later and a lot of shopping bags I finally got to rest. We were sitting in the food court getting a quick bit to eat then going to go rent movies and have a romance/comedy movie marathon.

I had already got what I wanted, which was New York Fries with gravy, no drink. As I sat eating I was people watching. There was couples, families some of the younger teenagers and people who just hang around the mall to scoop out girls.  I even spotted a few couples making out and looking as if to actually were about to have sex.

I mean really you’re in public, don’t people have any decency or respect for others for that matter.

For example a couple were sitting across on the other side of the food court, looked to be really into it. Wait! Those guys beside them look familiar all I saw was the back of their heads. The one of the turned around and notice it was Keagan and the one with red hair would be Codie and the rest of the guys.

The one who was making heavily has dark chocolaty brown hair and there is only two with dark brown hair.  I looked at all their faces and saw that Liam was on the end. Beside him were Lennox, Sage, Keagan, Codie and Hopper. Where’s Stryker? Maybe he didn’t want to have a guy’s night since he likes spending his time with his little brother, but who else would Hopper stand beside?

The couple finally stop making out he turn towards the area where the guys and what I saw my world come crashing down. Stryker was the one making out with girl, I finally saw her face, and it was the school slut. I know that’s a mean thing to say, but I have every right to be mad and mean.

I looked down as soon I saw his eyes scanning the crowd. I don’t want him to see the hurt he caused. I should have just gone with my gut feelings and not to agree to be his boyfriend.

I took a quick peek at the rest to see if they notice them which they didn’t. They were all to focus on planning on which movies to pick out when we got to the movie store and talking about all the new clothes they got.

They were so focus that they didn’t even notice I got up and my made my out of the mall. I know I shouldn’t be mad or upset and that I was the one who wanted to keep us a secret. It still didn’t mean he should’ve done what he did.  I should have just agreed to come out with him, now he’s finding other means to have open relationships. And they’re not with me.

Who knew a heart break would feel like this? It hurts like a bitch.
