Zeke’s P.O.V.
My head hurts. It feels like a two ton truck ran it over or something heavier. Why does it smell like a hospital all of a sudden? I’m supposed to be at school, oh no. Did I forget to watch where I was walking, again? Oh Man! That would be the third time this month. First time I ran into a telephone pole, the second time was when I tripped and fell down the stairs. I hope this time it wasn’t bad or better yet something stupid.
“Zee, are you alive?” An unknown voice asked me.
“Hurts,” I was all I could manage to response. I finally decide what the damages where, meaning I have to open my eyes. Ok here we go. I open them only to see the school’s nurse and December looking down on me.
Wait school nurse, hey that means I didn’t do something stupid, but how did I get here and what happen?
“I’m so sorry. I was aiming to tackle the big ape and kind of took you with us,” December smile sheepishly. I guess I must of look confuse that answers one part of my question, but how come I’m in the nurse's office.
“You hit your head pretty hard, knocking you unconscious. And as for getting to my office, this young gentleman helped Miss. Williamson carry you here,” she pointed behind her and moved so I could see indicating me to thank them for their help. When I looked up and saw Rayden and Archer sitting in the chairs that are set up in the room.
“Ummm....tha..thank you,” I stuttered. Great not only would I be laughed at, Rayden will probably go run off and tell Keagan “I have a stutter problem.”
“No problem,” Rayden happily replies. Archer was shyly seating next to him.
“Um..hey Zeke,” Archer was whispered to me. I looked at him then averted my eyes to the ceiling.
“Hey” Then there was silence, but not the awkward one.
“I have an idea, why don’t we skip the rest of the day and hang out at the mall?” December suggest. Is she crazy never once in my life did I ever skip school! She must have seen the look on my face.
“What you never skipped school before Zee?” What is with the nickname?
“No” I whispered finding my hands to be more interesting then the ceiling and having to see the amused look upon her face.
“So?”
“So, What? This is high school every kid should at least skip school at least once or twice in their life time,” December practically yelled.
“Yeah we could go shopping and get the rest to come with too,” Rayden exclaimed and pulled out his nice looking phone. He was texting from the looks of it. I don’t own a cell phone hell I don’t even own an iPod or a plain mp3. However I did listen to music from the radio. So I wasn’t totally out of the loop.
“Ok they all agreed!” Rayden yelled happily. Whoa those were some fast replies. How do they hit all the little buttons without messing up? I’ll just leave that question for another day.
“Well let’s get going before I have a change of mind,” they all looked at me as if I had two heads. Hey I might as well experience what it feels like to skip school at least once before I graduate.

The plan was to act as if we are returning to our classes, then we make sure the coast is clear then head back towards the main entrance and meet up with the rest of the...of the.....of the, Rayden’s friends. I’ll just go with that for now, since the only friend I have is December. She’s probably my best friend.
