The surroundings of the school area is quite nice, with trees and bushes placed neatly beside the main road we take to the main hall. It seems that the magic aura in the air doesn't take any significant effects to the school's climate. Many vegetation here can actually be found in the Ashenville. I used to expect that there will be eerie-looking trees, if not dead tree barks, as part of the story about the witches I used to hear when I was a kid.
"We think that you all are going to enjoy studying here, as proved by how high-spirited you are now!" say the female greeter with pleasant tone, as if she is talking to her children, while the male greeter just smile along the way, though occasionally having a small talk with the female greeter. No kidding, we the freshmen are just like kids going on a field trip: happy, wide-smiled, mouth gaped wide open, and commenting on their surroundings.
"Master Richmond, you've put up a serious face since at the gates. Something's bothering you?" Roland breaks the silence among us.
"Oh, no. I'm just wondering about what we will be studying here." He replied, as he changed his serious face to a gentle smile.
"No need to worry too much, my relatives said it will be alright, in fact we might truly enjoyed being here." Castille inform. Given his nobility background, his relatives might be already graduated from here or at least known someone who been here.
"Yeah, you're worrying too much. Just enjoy the surroundings while it lasts, would you?" Now Connor, is the one who leads this joy ride to the main hall.
"What about you, Jason? You've been quiet all the time." Richmond turned to face me.
"Actually, I also been wondering on that matter.." I replied. Looks like Connor and Roland are not satisfied with my answer.
"You've been a worrywart as usual. Just be happy and enjoy the ride!" Connor always dissatisfied with me for worrying too much. He means good to me, I realize that though. I just nod at him with a gentle smile.
"Does anything ever happen to worry you, Connor?" I let out a soft and brief chuckle.
"Well, there is any. But worrying and wondering are not much my style, they only become a burden later on. Right?"
"I definitely agree with you on this one, Connor!" Roland said, and it looks like that Castille and Richmond is having a deep conversation. Usually Roland likes to involve in any deep conversation, but not now, given the situation.
Before I reply them, we have reached the door of the main hall. Now the male greeter is going to give another announcement before we enter the hall, while the female one is unlocking the door.
"Once you've entered the main hall, just find a seat of your choice, find the most comfortable ones. The headmaster is on his way." he said. Somehow, his tone is not too enthusiastic as the female one, but it is still polite and professional. Perhaps he is a honorable knight, just not in an armor.
The door opens, and we're given freedom to take our seats, further making this orientation looks like a school trip.
"Let's take the middle row." Say Castille, and we all agree on that.
This main hall is even bigger than Ashenville theatre, twice in size to be precise. The chairs are all wooden though, unlike the Ashenville theatre but the chairs are cozy enough for a main hall. Upfront there is a wooden podium, with a small crystal ball on its side. Looks polished and well-made, it gives a sense that a wizard is going to make a speech. Lights from the outside are also able to get in to the hall through the majestic windows separated evenly across the room. Altogether give this main hall of sense of nobility and wizardry equally.
