In the darkness, there is a silhouette of figure in the distance. It is completely black, as if merged with its surroundings. The distinctive trait that can differentiate itself from the darkness is its blood-red eyes. Upon closer look, it is revealed that the figure is currently wearing darkness as its armor formed like an aura that conceal its whole appearance, with the exception of the head. The armor is actually stands out amid the darkness, given it is more glowing with dark purple in colour.

The figure slowly begins to take its first step, walking. Its footsteps can be clearly heard and become more clearer and harder as he approaches. It is not a clanking sound as an armor will produce when it walks. Instead, it is quieter and steadier just like a sound of the usual shoes, or boots to be precise.

Its glowing purplish aura and blood-red eyes are giving its whereabouts as it walks in this place. It is coming closer and closer. Strangely, despite its distinctive and fearsome appearance, it doesn't scare me at all. Its red eyes are cold but not sinister. Somehow, sadness and despair can be seen beneath its eyes. It has the same height as I am, and it just ...... walking through me literally, without even bumping to each other. I guess I am just like an invisible wall to it.

I turn to have a look at its back as it walks away toward the border-less darkness, seemingly it has no ends as well.

Suddenly, a big circle forms on the ground where I am standing, slightly illuminating the darkness. Inside the circle, some lines appear. They connect with each other, forming shapes along the way. In the end, a ten-sided star is formed, now with many inscriptions and ancient writings scattered inside the circle and the star.

As I kneel down to have a closer look at one of the writings, the whole circle along with its other parts shine brightly. Automatically, I close my eyes and cover them with my right forearm so the light it emits won't make me blind. That intense brightness fully consumes me during that moment.

By the time the light has ceased, I open my eyes to only find myself in a surprisingly familiar room. The familiar smell of potions and salves implies that I am in the clinic's ward, currently laying on a patient bed.

No one is currently here. I try to sit up, using my hands placed firmly on the bed to lift my upper body to sit straight. Hmm? Something are cuffed around my wrists. I open the blanket to find that both of my wrists are chained by handcuffs with some glowing rune markings around them, connected to the bed railings.. I'm not surprised. This curse is dangerous and unpredictable, not an excellent combination. It can kill someone instantly, and who knows what else it might did.

The curse? Wait a second.....

An unfamiliar feeling. It has been a long time since I could see with a wider range. Both eyes are working fine. I'm not half-blind anymore!

I wave my shackled hand in front of the left eye, which I can clearly see it. Is this just a part of a crazy dream?

Wow. I'm truly happy and relieved for a moment. But as soon as I glance at my shackled wrists, I quickly awake to the grim reality that the worst is yet to come. What will happen to me now?

Someone is turning the doorknob from the outside. I figure that will be either Master Wizard Senna, Doctor Ellyn, or someone else whose purpose is to check up on my condition. It turns out that I am half-right. It is indeed the Master Wizard in her elegant midnight blue-colored wizard robe, along with an unknown person. That person wears a white and gold-trimmed robe and a hood over his head, concealing his hair and some of his face. Both of them seem to get along well, judging by their proximity with each other. They are approaching my bed and standing by in the front, as if keeping their distance.
