As we enter the dormitory, the first word that comes to mind is quaint. The interior of this four storey-building looks completely old-fashioned, but somehow it is attractive and habitable enough, as long as no one littered. Having a hundred bedrooms with two students for each room, it can be occupied by two hundred students at maximum. This is for the boys' dormitory, but maybe the girls' one has the same capacity too. I heard that the dorms was previously inhabited by the previous students who has graduated three months ago and it has been left behind this way, resulting in slightly dusty, but still appealing look.

Now I need to find where my assigned room is located. On each door of the bedrooms has been put a paper which list the name of the occupants for the room. Castille, Connor, Roland, and Richmond are equally distributed on the first and second floor. On the third floor, I finally found my room just beside the stairs. The third floor doesn't seem too crowded, since much of them have found their rooms downstairs Wonder who is my roommate for this year.

Farris Leroy. That's the name stated on the paper, along with my name. Farris, so that's his name.

I start to enter the room, and take a glance to look if my roommate is already inside. There he is, already sitting on the bed. He has a stocky build with a short shaggy hairstyle and is wearing a black pair of glasses. As soon as he heard the door creaks open, he stares at my presence curiously, but his face stays straight, without any smile.

"Hey there," he greets me, now smiling.

"Hey," I replied "You're Farris Leroy, right? I'm Jason Gregg. Nice to meet you."

"Just make yourself at home. Oh, by the way, which bed you want to claim as your own?"

"Both are fine to me, but I just take the left one," Since he was already sitting on the right bed, I think he has already claimed that one as his own, just asking me as some form of courtesy.

I start to unpack my luggage. Today orientation has been done, and the rest of the day is a free time to prepare ourselves for the real first day of our learning. While unpacking, I start to make a conversation with Farris, who is also busy unpacking his things.

"So.... How are you today?" I say to him, hoping to break the silence in the room. I'm not good at starting conversation actually, but this time I think it is necessary.

"I'm fine,"

"Are you from Ashenville?" I've never seen this guy before, perhaps he is not from this town?

"Yep, I was born and lived in Ashenville, in the northern district."

Northern district, that is a completely different area from me. That's a district known for its industrial business, not a famous place for a residential. "Oh, I lived in the central district."

"I see. The central district is a good one, right? Fit place for a living." Is he being sarcastic? Or that's just the way he talks?

"Yeah, it is" I replied with a smile. I don't want to have a hard feeling toward him though. I need to change the topic. But before I can ask another question, he already said something

"The weather here is good, almost feel like in another town."

"Yes, it is almost the end of summer though. It'll get colder soon"

"Doesn't matter. The experience here will be enjoyable I hope. You're my partner right? In division B?"

That's right. I almost forgot that he is my partner from now on. At least he has the enthusiasms and has grown a better mood.

"Yup, and looks like we're going to do assignments together from now on."

"Yes, so I counting on you from now on." He turns to face me, and offering me a handshake.
