"Now it is completely blind? Can you even, uhhh... turn it off or something?"

"Does it hurt?"

"Can you describe what do you feel?"

Barrage of questions are shot at me from different people almost in the same time. After hearing that shocking news last night, the seal reacted and completely took over my left eye. Making it blind. Thus, the experts who might know something about this things were called and I was brought to the research lab to be questioned and investigated.

Since night till the morning, Doctor Ellyn, Keeper of Knowledge Adelaine, Master Alchemist Brady, and Head Researcher Jorrin, all of them tirelessly were busy questioning, or rather interrogating me about this decagram seal. I can't blame them. It is their duty to be first informed and make some research notes about this seal now clearly visible on my left eye, in place where the pupil is located.

"No, it just take my left sight. Other that that, it doesn't cause me any harm.. I guess," I almost reply every questions with this answer.

"Is that so? Well, I might suggest that we conduct a full-body exam on him to further checking purpose," Head Researcher Jorrin suggests and all of them nod with agreement.

"Now then, take off all your clothes so we can proceed," Seriously? Is that really necessary?

"No, I'm okay, really. No pains, aches, or anything. May I leave now?" They might be interested about this. But I'm not. I'm still exhausted by the trip from Davenport. And they won't give me a time for rest since then.

"Those are only what you felt. We never know what else that appeared on your body beside the seal," Jorrin insists. Looks like I have no choice but to follow.

"Hold it right there," that familiar voice appears. Master Wizard Senna appears by the door.

They sure respect the Master Wizard greatly, as they immediately stop taking notes once she steps into the room.

"I've already heard about the Order of the Tenth from Sir Palladion last night.. About their mission, their leader, their method, and most prominently, their seal," She approaches me, "You could say that I'm shocked, surprised.... and angry at you in the same time. Mr. Gregg," she then turns her back on me.

"You are now prohibited from receiving any missions and going out from the school area. Until then, stay put and cooperate with the research," she exits the room, "Experiment on him thoroughly as you pleases,"

"You heard her. Now, just cooperate with this experiment, will you?" All of them continues with their research on my physical features, "Let us continue,"

I've been put into detention for unspecified amount of time. No missions. No going outside. Just staying here in the school, obeying with their needs of research pursuit. But she didn't mentioned about me being kicked out from the spec ops. So much for a good news.

--------------

Two months have passed after that incident, yet no clues are found about how to remove this curse. The researchers have decided a name for this curse based on its shape, "Decagram Star". The news about a rookie spec ops who recklessly confront a leader of an unknown cult and ends up receiving the curse itself have spread across Brighthollow. But no one knows the name of that rookie, not yet. Only in ASAC the name is widely known, but it is still kept in secret from outside world.

This 'reckless rookie' reputation has mixed feelings towards me here in ASAC. Some say that I indeed was too stupid to decide to confront the leader alone in the first place, but there are some who looks to me in respect. Can't say I'm happy with that. If a student wanders around the school wearing an eye patch, he will stand out like a sore thumb. Not to mention what kind of wicked power lies behind the eye patch.
