I felt Reaper place his head on my shoulder, his grip on my waist tightening as the bulge I was sitting on grew.
I gulped lightly and decided to ignore it, he was probably imgining me in a dress or something stupid.
I focused on the book he picked out for me instead, which was rather a peaceful one. There wasn't a whole lot of gore or romance, the writing was rather nice and all of it was calming. Just the type of book I like.
"Geno!" A high-pitched voice shouted, my body being pulled off the clingy skeleton's lap and into a pair of strong arms.
I sighed lowly as I hugged my blue wearing friend back, gently patting him on the back.
"G!" Another loud, high pitched voice called out, carefully pulling me from Berry's embrace, into theirs.
I also hugged them back. After a minute, they allowed me freedom to stand up again.
"Hey!" Another yelled, this one slightly deeper than the other two.
I looked over my short friends, smiling at them.
Berry and Dream were smiling happily as Ink smiled a little more calmly at me. Surprisingly, they all wore more natural and calming colors than their bright blues and yellows or dull browns and whites.
"It's been too long! We really should spend more time together!" Blue shouted, bouncing on his heels, smiling his brightest, happiest smile.
I chuckled at him, feeling my soul constrict.
"Yeah, so what's happened?" I tilted my head slightly, raising an eyebrow at them.
Instantly, Dream pulled his tall, gooey brother over with a slightly shorter, monochrome skeleton with him. Swiftly, the glowing sunshine showed me their ring hands, both of them having beautiful silver engagement rings on their finger.
I lightly clapped for them, giving them a small smile.
"Congrats. How long till the wedding?"
The monochrome stranger was the first one to answer.
"It's next year, if everything goes to plan." They smiled at me softly with their red and white eyes. Then they stuck out their hand. "My name is Cross Silver. You're Dream's friend, After, right?"
I grasped his hand in a tight hold, nodding my head. His grip was tight as well.
"Yeah, I guess you can tell why I'm called that," I joked, getting a soft laugh from him.
"Even if you look near death, I doubt he'll take you so quickly." His tone was light, though something told me there was more meaning to his words than he was actually letting on.
I gave an open shrug.
"Well, he's going to get a fight, I die when I say I die."
This caused my three friends along with Cross some laughter.
"Yeah, tell that to him alright." He took back his hand and I shoved mine back into my jacket.
"Gladly."
I looked around the room, but I couldn't find Error... Usually he's rather early...
"Lookin' for your bro?" A tall, thin skeleton asked. He was wearing a carrot orange hoodie, an unlit cigarette in his mouth, a lighter in one of his hands.
"Yeah, did you talk with him?"
Honey shrugged, reaching up with the lighter.
"Think he said somethin' about talkin' wit yer younger bro?" He took a drag from the death stick, slowly bringing it out of his mouth as he carefully blew smoke out of it. "Or he was gettin' some beer."
I shook my head at the tall skeleton, swiftly snatching the white stick, crushing it between my fingers.
"No smoking in the house."
I glanced to the side, seeing Blue no longer smiling. He instead, was childishly glaring at his brother.
"Honey, why did you bring those things with you! They're bad for you!" He scolded like the child he pretended to be.
Ink gently tapped me on my shoulder, causing me to look down at him, stepping away from most of everyone.
"We need to have a small group meeting... Somewhere more private..." He whispered softly, speaking in his French tongue, something I was quiet fluent in.
"Alright... After Error gets here." I murmured back.
The artist nodded, smiling at me as he went to chat with my roommates.
I sighed softly, looking down at the ground. I was still holding my book from earlier... Tightly, might I add, the hard cover looked ready to crumble under my hand.
Quickly, I relaxed my hold, turning back to my little library and placed the book in.
Once again, Reaper snatched me from where I was and placed me in his lap, happily holding me close to him. Thankfully, his boner was gone.
"And who are they?" He purred in a lustful tone of voice.
I felt my body lightly shiver, I hated it when he used that voice...
"That's Ink," I motioned towards the skeleton with different colored eyes. "That one is Dream, Nightmare's twin brother." I motioned towards the happy, glowing monster. "Then that's Blue and his older brother Honey." I nodded towards the very tiny monster in a pearl blue shirt, who was currently scolding his brother about smoking.
Reaper made a hmm sound.
"I didn't know you knew Nightmare and Cross." He murmured, it sounded like it mainly was for himself.
"You know those two?" I turned slightly, raising my eyebrow at the cloaked menace.
He blushed lightly before it quickly went away.
"Yeah, they kind of work for me..." He muttered, his cyan eyes glancing away.
I shook my head at him. He seems to hold secrets, but I don't blame him, I kind of can't blame him.
"I won't push it for now. But you're telling me about this later." I lightly hissed at him.
He smirked at me, his eyes holding that look... A look that made me feel all weird and warm...
"H-HeY! i-I'm HeRe!" A glitched voice shouted.
I silently sighed out a breath of relief, quickly escaping my b-roommate's grip to greet my younger brother.
"Hey, Error, how's it been?" I questioned, smiling at him softly.
Despite being older, he was just a little bit taller than me.
"G-Go0d." He quickly answered, looking to his side. Next to him was a dusty purple, hooded monster, who seemed to have deranged, purple eyes. "tHiS iS dUsT, hE's A fRiEnD fRoM c0lLeGe."
I nodded, carefully sticking out my hand.
"Nice to meet you, I'm After."
The skeleton smirked cruelly at me, grasping my hand with his clawed, scarred ones.
"You look like you've seen demons before, After." He stated oddly.
I couldn't help myself, I scoffed at him.
"I've seen far worse than that."
I tugged my hand back, lightly glaring at him with my one eye.
"Don't cause any trouble. Both of you." I turned away from them, making my way to the basement.
Since I greeted everyone that was suppose to come, I could finally have a meeting with my friends... Or something else.
