The area was dark and smelled like death. Even though the room was freezing, my hands felt warm... A liquid like substance on them.
I went to look down at them, but a sharp, sudden pain filled my body.
"Hehe~"
I jolted awake, my eyes zipping around a dimly lit room in a hurried frenzy.
Once I was able to identify that I was still in my room and not... there, I felt my body relax and fall back on the bed.
Since I was more awake now, I felt a quiet moan bubble up inside of me as the pain pushed its way in my mind.
It felt blissful to feel such a thing, my body suddenly craving more of it.
Sighing softly, I carefully turned to my side and looked at my clock. It of course said that it was barely even passed three thirty in the morning.
I groaned in annoyance at the sight. I hated how I always found myself up this early, even on my days off.
Now, if I woke up around four or five in the morning, that would be a bit more understandable as it's the usual time that I should wake up. But no! I have to wake up even before that!
Huffing, I closed my eyes again and let myself fall into a restless slumber like usual, or at least until I'm forced awake at seven o'clock.
The room was dark and cold, the sounds of metal scraping against the walls surrounding me.
My breathing picked up its pace as I waited to pounce on the thing. My soul felt pain for what I was to do... For what I had to do...
When the sound was close enough, I jumped out of my hiding place, the broken bone raised high above my head.
"Shut up!"
"No, you shut up, you mother fucking prick! I told you we were having pancakes, not waffles!"
I grunted as I slowly raised myself from the bed, my breathing coming out in pants. My body was covered in sweat and blood, my sheets being stained by the red liquid.
Taking in a shuddering breath, I got off the bed to clean it up. I forgot that my wound likes to open up in my sleep...
Once my bed was once again clean, I grabbed some new clothes and went into my adjoined bathroom. I only took this room for the bathroom, it's so none of them would see me like this... They'd only ask questions that I'm not ready to answer yet.
Swiftly, I finished my shower and rewrapped my nasty scar before it had time to bleed out again. Then I just got ready for the day as usual.
Stumbling out of my room, my aching bones called me back to bed.
"WOULD YOU FOUR SHUT THE FUCK UP BEFORE I DECIDED TO KILL YOU ALL!" Roared a voice, it almost shaking the house. I couldn't help myself and winced lightly.
I walked into the kitchen to see a fuming Reaper and four cowering human girls.
I felt a scowl form on my lips as I silently marched to the angry skeleton.
"Reaper." As I spoke his name, I grabbed him by the side of his head and yanked him down to my height. "Behave."
We had a small staring contest before that anger faded into his usual calmness.
"Fine." He mumbled, his eyes glancing down at the ground.
With that response, I let go of his head and walked to the living room. I was way too tired for this bullcrap.
Gently, I flopped onto the old couch, sighing softly as sleep once again called to me. It really was starting to get annoying... But I wasn't ready to be alone...
"After, you okay?" It was Reaper.
I grunted, shaking my head.
"Try waking up at three in the morning and then having to get up to shouting? I swear I should get an apartment by myself..." I muttered, keeping my eye closed.
He hummed, the seat next to me dipping.
"Maybe I can help you stay up?" There was a flirtatious tone to that.
"Sure, make me coffee." I pushed on his shoulder, leaning further back into the couch. I was really tired.
The couch lifted some, indicating that the jerk went to get me some coffee, or just left me to sleep on the couch.
A couple of moments passed before the scent of sweet chocolate coffee filled my nose.
"Here you go."
I cracked my eye open. He was standing in front of me, a light blush on his face as he held one of the tall coffee mugs in front of me.
I carefully took the lukewarm drink, sipping it softly. It wasn't half bad, a pinch more sugar than I normally use, but that didn't stop it from waking me up a bit more.
"I'm going out for a bit... I have to pick up some groceries and cleaning supplies..." I mumbled, fighting back a yawn.
The cloaked monster looked at me strangely.
"And I need to know this, because?"
I rolled my eye, tilting my head back to yawn.
"Because... We always tell each other where we're going... It's to make sure we can have a starting place to look for you if you're not back after a while..."
Reaper looked unconvinced, but he didn't say anything.
"Yo, G, if you're going to the store, can you get me some more tampons? I ran out." The dyed black haired woman called out from the kitchen.
"'Kay..." I yawned softly one last time before getting up and stretching.
"Hey, we need more toilet paper and laundry detergent." Alex called out, peeking her head downstairs. Bet she's glad that she wasn't buying the crap we needed.
I huffed softly, nodding numbly.
"Alright... I'll be out for a bit, don't burn the house down." With those parting words, I left to do at least an hour's worth of shopping...
I really hope they don't mess the house up...
