I sighed softly when I saw the Reaper was already back to sleep. I can't blame him... I was like that at first...
Shaking my head, I focused back on the road. I hate it when I don't focus... I hate it when things are different... I hate... I hate the fucking Devil... He made sin... And he made us this way...
Shaking my head again, I knew it was pointless to blame something that doesn't even exist... It's like blaming the fucking tooth fairy for not giving you a quarter even though your a full grown adult with a well paying job!
Slowly, I pulled up in the employee parking lot. There already was a small car there... Frisk must've came in before me.
"Reaper, we're here." I told him, shaking him lightly.
He groaned, but woke up. He still looked tired, so I guess I could let him deal with the morning people who normally just want a biscuit and coffee or tea. They're the easiest to deal with since they're too tired to even give a crap about anything.
"Come on, sleepy head... We're here..." I told him, shaking him some more.
He nodded, yawning softly.
"So what am I to do?" He whispered, looking at me, his deep blue eyes unfocused with exhaustion.
"For now, you're going to help me and Frisk with baking some morning breads and donuts. After that, you'll be dealing with the morning people and giving them their simple orders." I explained quickly as I got out of the car, he following.
"Um... I'm not sure that's a good idea..." He murmured, he seeming to be sweating nervously.
"Don't snap at anyone and just nod your head if you can't stand them... If you're about to blow a fuse just come and get me or Frisk, we'll trade places with you until you're calm enough to handle people again." I reasoned, giving him a side glance, though I highly doubt he knew that.
He just nodded, seemingly still worried. I shook it off as he just didn't want people to see him working in a bakery... Though it wouldn't be like he would know what this place has gone through.
I sighed softly as I shrugged off my coat and hung it up, Reaper following my lead.
"I... I never baked before..." He murmured, looking away nervously.
I snorted, making him turn back to me.
"I know. The way you act so cocky and think that people should be shivering at the mere thought of you, I guessed that from wherever you were from, you were treated like a fucking king. Don't worry, I will show you the ropes for now and making bread isn't as hard as everyone makes it seem." I gave him a small smirk, waving my hand over.
He sighed quietly, nodding.
We walked into the kitchen, Frisk already in an apron and messing with some dough.
"Hey, Frisk. Getting ready for the day?" I chirped up, pulling on my apron.
She looked up at me, nodding. Frisk was mute to say, though she does talk with me from time to time, it's just never above a whisper...
"What's a kid doing working back here?" Reaper asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
She huffed, stomping her foot lightly on the ground. I chuckled, rolling my eyes as I threw a spare apron over his head.
"She's twenty, dumpy. She just has a baby face."
My friend nodded, sticking her tongue out childishly at the new guy.
"Okay... Still think she should be in school..." He shrugged, tying on the fabric.
"She is in school. College actually. It's just that the weekends and Wednesdays are the days she has night classes." I defended getting more flour and sugar out. "Now stop stalling and get your fury hind over here to help."
He chuckled at me, nodding.
Since he didn't have any kitchen experience, I showed him everything... Starting from square one!
To say he was both embarrassed and frustrated, well that would be an understatement. He was down right dark blue with an angered look to his face!
Me and Frisk were chuckling and giggling at him, me playfully bumping into him.
"Chill, man. You don't want to get all upset over something so simple." I joked softly.
Reaper took a deep breath and nodded. After that, he seemed to get the hang of it. It was nice to say the least... To not just have me and Frisk here working all by ourselves.
I stretched, popping my bones back into place. I know that I should've closed the shop today since the weekends were usually my days off... But I needed the extra money since the bills kept going up... Damn greedy bastards.
