Running... I was running...
My breath was coming out heavy and I felt so weak... Like my body was about to dust, but I didn't stop... I couldn't stop...
"Stop him!" A faded voice shouted.
My eyes narrowed, they looking at the large giants in front of me. They were pysically human, but they were the true monsters.
My lips curled into a snarl, they were in my way. And they hurt too many of us.
I jolted up from my sleep, gulping for the air that I wanted. For a moment, my vision was blurry, but I still could tell where I was.
My room... I was in the safety of my room.
Taking a deep breath before slowly releasing it, I sat up more comfortablely.
It was late... I knew that before I looked at my alarm clock.
"Ten... Damn, I missed dinner..." I winced. I was trying to get my appetite back, but... For years, I've been trying to get my eating shedule back on track, but I guess I don't really want that to happen... No matter what I try or do, I always seem to fail at that one goal...
I slowly picked up the book that had fallen in my lap and marked the page I was reading before I guess I had passed out. I randomly fall asleep, but it doesn't happen often enough for me to really tell the 'signs'. I don't really care about it either, I'm usually already sitting or laying down, so I don't have to worry about any of that. Plus, I have been working a lot more lately, so that's also a factor.
"Hehe~ You should be dead~"
My breathing caught in my throat, my head snapping up. My eye zoomed around the room, but nothing was here... Nothing was out of place! But I heard it! I know I heard it...
I shakily got out of my bed, the dim room looking darker... The room was getting wider... It was getting darker...
"I'll show you to my King~ Hehe~" They were behind me.
I ran out of my room. I ran straight into the living room and for a brief moment I saw someone on the couch.
I jumped on them, burying my head in their chest, my hands clutching their shirt. My breathing was too fast... My head felt so light... My body felt so cold, but so warm... I was scared... I was more than that... I was terrified...
I didn't want to... I had to... It hurt... It hurt so much... I-
"After?" The voice broke through the darkness, through the terror... It brought me to where I was.
And where I was, was in the lap of some perverted skeleton.
My cheeks went red instantly, my eye widening a bit.
I expected him to have a flirty smirk or a quirked eyebrow, but... He looked concerned... He looked nervous...
"After," He called again, his left hand cupping my cheek, wiping something off. "why are you crying?"
That question... It brought so much pain to me... It brought so much untold words... Untold feelings of anger and betrayal...
That damn question made me cry more... It made me bury my head into his chest once again. It made me cling to him again.
I needed him... I just needed him for a moment... I don't care what he says after this... I just need him right now...
