My version of twilight Book 1

Chapter 1: Cullen's

Well guys, as you all know this was my first story. So I am going through it and doing some editing since I now know how to lol. Tell me what you all think of this first chapter please. Thanks, JenCullen28.

Chapter 1: Cullen's

Hello my name is Jennifer Rose Swan; I am seventeen years old. I live in a small town in Arkansas called Hot Springs, with my mom Elaine and her new husband Ryan Bird. Well this is my story on how I met the wonderful family named the Cullen's.

When my mom got married I was really happy for her and Ryan; He is real good for her. We live in a small two story house in the woods. Me and mom were at home alone because Ryan is a singer in a band called Vote; they are touring right now. We were in the kitchen eating breakfast when I saw that mom was not looking very happy. I looked at her and gave her a small smile.

“What is wrong mom? You don't look very happy,” I told her.

She looked at me and gave me a small smile.

“I am just really missing your stepfather,” she told me.

I just nodded and then I took a seat next to her on the couch.

“Mom, I know you have been missing him a lot so I have been thinking about moving in with dad. I would miss you but you will be happy and I also need to get to know my own father more,” I told her.

See my father Nick lives in a very small town call Forks, in Washington. I only see him once a year for only two weeks because they are divorced. I looked at my mom then.

“Why do you want to move in with him?” she asked me.

“Mom, so you can be with Ryan. I know you miss him so much and you can't leave me by myself. So if I move in with dad you can go on tour with Ryan,” I told her.

She stood up and gave me a big hug. She smiled but also had tears in her eyes; I am very close to my mom.

“I called dad and asked him if I could come and stay with him so you could go and be with Ryan and he told that he would love for me to stay with him,” I told her.

She started to cry but also laugh at the news I told her. I started to cry and laugh a little with her; I was a little confused.

“Mom, why are you crying?” I asked her.

I am just going to miss you a lot honey but I am also really happy that I am going to be able to be with Ryan,” she told me.

We cried a little more while holding each other. Like I said me and my mom are really close and I am going to miss her a lot.

After we got done crying I told her to go call Ryan and tell him the good news while I go call dad and tell him the good news. She went and grabbed her cell phone and sat back down on the couch while I went to my room to call my dad and tell him to make room for me. I picked up my cell phone and dialed dads home phone first. I let it ring till I got his answering machine saying that he was not home, to leave a message and he would get back to me when he gets home. So I hung up and called his cell.

“Hello,” I heard him say.

“Hey dad, it's me,” I told him.

I could almost hear him smile on the other line.

“I am so glad that you called, so what did your mom say,” he asked me.

“She told me that I could move in with you,” I told him.

“I am so happy to say that. So when will you be here?” he asked me.

“Well, I am going to get a plane ticket today and I will be there later Friday or early Saturday next week,” I told him.
