Chapter 3: Going home

Chapter 3: Going home

I woke up and looked around and I saw no one so I just lay there and turned the TV on. It was on the news so I sat there and watched it. As I was sitting there the door opened up and Dr. Carlisle came in.

“Good morning Jennifer, how are you doing this morning?” he asked me.

“Good morning to you to Dr. Carlisle, I am feeling great. Can I go home today? Don't get me wrong I like seeing you but I just don't like hospitals,” I told him.

He laughed at me and came to give me a hug.

“That is okay Jennifer, everyone says the same thing to me. Well lets see,” and before he could say anything mom and my dad came in and saw that I was a wake.

I smiled at them and they all came over to me and gave me genital hugs. Dr. Carlisle looked at me again and smiled.

Well Jennifer, lets see if you eat some breakfast and keep it down then you can go home later today. Nick is there room in your house for a hospital bed?” Carlisle asked my dad.

“Um mm no, but if you give me a bit I can make room in our living room. I guess I also nee to build a ramp so we can get her in and out of the house,” dad told the doctor.

“Nick me and Ryan can come and help you get it ready for her if you want us to,” mom told dad.

“Okay sounds good to me. Honey, we will be back before come and and we will see you later,” dad told me.

I smiled at them and told them okay and to have fun.

“Oh one more thing, when I let her go home she will be going home in an ambulance and they will help you all to get her into the house,” Carlisle told them.

They nodded and left my room. I looked at the doctor and we started to talk about when I will be having physical therapy and stuff like that. There was a knock on my door and told whoever it was to come in. The door opened up and Edward walked in with flowers, candy and a beautiful smile on his face for me. I smiled at him and I felt myself blush.

“Hey Edward, how are you today?” I asked him.

“I am good, just thinking about you and wanted to come and see you,” he told me.

I gave him a smile and his dad got up and smiled at us.

“I am going to get them to bring you in some food and I will be back soon,” Dr. Carlisle told me.

I told him thank you and then he left.

“So when do you get out?” Edward asked me with a smile.

“Your dad told me that if I can keep my breakfast down then he will let me go later today,” I told him.

“Oh well that is good, how are you getting home?” he asked me.

“An ambulance will be taking me there. My mom and dads are there making room for my hospital bed and making a ramp for my chair,” I told him.

He smiled and I could tell he wanted to ask me another question but he acted a little shy.

“Edward, what do you want to ask me?” I asked him with a smile.

“Can I ride with you when they take you home? I wont if you don't want me to,” he told me.

I smiled at him and told him that he could ride with me if he wanted to. We were talking about anything and I could tell again that he was hiding another question from me. I smiled at him and gave him a small nod to go ahead and ask me. He took a breath and smiled at me.
