Chapter 10: Cullen story

Edward carried me upstairs and put me on our bed and Taylor sat next to me and Edward sat on the couch. Taylor looked at us and smiled.

“So you two, what is the big secret that you have been keeping from mom?” Taylor asked us.

I looked at Edward and he nodded his head at me.

“Well Taylor, what we are about to tell you is a very big secret and my one question we have for you is do you keep secrets? Even the biggest one that if you tell anyone can and will get you killed,” Edward asked her.

I looked at Taylor and she looked a little scared.

“I can keep the biggest secret ever if I have to. I promise to never tell anyone what you two are about to tell me,” she told us.

Me and Edward looked at each other and he smiled at me.

“Okay Taylor, what we are about to tell you is very real and you have to believe us. Also, you have to believe in stuff that is not real but is most definitively real,” Edward told her.

Taylor looked scared but she smiled at us. I gave her a hug then.

“First you have to know that Edward and his family is not going to hurt you,” I told her.

Okay, tell me the big secret that can kill me if I tell anyone,” she told us.

Edward then looked at me.

“Jennifer, do you want to tell her?” Edward asked me.

“Okay Taylor, you asked me some questions about the Cullen's and I told you I could not tell you. So right now I am going to tell you. Edward and his family are real life vampires,” I told her.

I gave her a minute to let that sink in and she just looked at Edward with a scared expression on her face.

“Taylor, he will not hurt you and the rest of the Cullen's will not hurt you. But we do have to keep a watch on Jasper and I will tell you why in a minute,” I told her.

We sat there for a little bit so what I just told Taylor could sink in. I looked at her and smiled.

“Taylor, are you okay?” I asked her.

She looked at me and nodded her head.

“Taylor, the Cullen's are what we call vegetarians. They do not drink from humans, they only drink the blood of animals. And as you can see they don't eat human food either,” I told her.

“Oh okay I see, that is why we are still alive?” she asked us.

“Yes that is why we are still alive. You asked about their cold skin, well they are dead that is why the are so cold. Also, their skin is like stone and that is also why the are so beautiful,” I told her.

“What else can they do?” she asked.

“Well Edward, can read minds,” I told her.

But before I could tell her more I saw her face turn pale and I just laughed at that. The she blushed. She looked at Edward and gave him a shy smile.

“Y-you can read minds?” she asked Edward.

Edward just smiled at her then.

“Yes, I do try to stay out of people minds but it is hard to keep out sometimes. Also, I can not read Jennifer's mind. See you two are same in a lot of ways but I can read your mind and I can' t read hers. We found out the other day, it's because she is a mental shield. She is shielding her mind and that is why I can't read it,” Edward told her.
