Chapter 28: The Volturi

I woke up the next morning felling very scared. Edward saw me awake and pulled me into him and told me everything will be okay. I rolled over and gave him and kiss then I started to cry again. We laid there till I stopped crying and then Edward smiled at me.

“We have to get up and start to get ready,” he told me.

We got up and we both got dressed, then we went downstairs. The family was waiting for us. I looked at the time and it was 10am.

“Jennifer honey, do you want anything to eat?” mom asked me.

“No thank you mom, I wont be able to eat because I am sick to my stomach,” I told her.

She told me okay and Edward pulled me to the couch and I saw Alice having a vision.

“She is looking into the future trying to see what is going to happen,” Edward told me.

She came back to us with a big smile on her face.

“Everything will be just fine. They will accept what we will tell them. They wont mess with us anytime soon,” Alice told us.

I was feeling much better thanks to Alice and Jasper sending me calming waves and then Alice stood up.

“We nee to be going soon. They will be early,” Alice told us.

“How early?” I asked her.

“Well it is 10:30am now, so we need to go now. I see them coming and being there at 11am,” she told us.

Edward picked me up and put me on his back then the whole family and us took off running. They were running and we were in the field by 10:45am. Edward pulled me into him and looked at me.

“Stay next to me and don't move much,” he told me.

“I am so not going to leave your side at all,” I told him.

I was so close to Edward and when he froze I did to. I looked at him and he looked to be a million miles away. He was hearing them and then his eyes went from gold to flat black and he looked very upset.

“It was Tanya that told on us,” He told us all.

“Who is Tanya?” I asked him.

“She is part of the Denali clan and they are like us. Anyways she is in love with me. I guess Alice did not see her coming and she saw you and smelled you. Then she saw me and you kiss that is when she went and told the Volturi about you being human and knowing what we are,” he told me.

I was mad when he told me that, then I saw five vampires in black robes and a young blond hair lady. They came up to us and stopped a few yards away from us. Edward told me who was who and I saw them and I could not keep my eyes off of the scary looking big guy Felix. Then Aro came closers to us and dad went to meet him.

Carlisle's P.O.V.

“Hello my old friend,” Aro told me.

“Hello Aro, how are you?” I asked him.

“Well my old friend, I am disappointed in you and your family I hate to say,” Aro told me.

“I hate to hear that and if I may ask, why are you disappointed in me and my family?” I asked him.
