'This is it. Today's the day. Whether or not Eywa keeps me, my human life ends today.' The past few days I had been conserving my strength, doing all I could to make sure Eywa would allow me to stay with Tsu'tey. I was already in the scorpion with Trudy on our way to the Tree of Souls, mentally preparing myself. In a matter of minutes, Eywa would decide my fate.'Please, Eywa. Don't make me leave.' I waited until we landed to open the door and step out, tapping my foot until I was given the okay. "Titania, I will carry you to Mo'at. Are you ready?" Tsu'tey asked me as soon as I was on solid ground.
"Yes." In a swift move, I was being held in Tsu'tey's arms bridal style. It took forty of his steps before I was placed on my feet again.
"We will take her from here, Tsu'tey." I heard Neytiri say.
"We must undress you now, Titania. You must go to Eywa the way you were born." Mo'at instructed me once I felt Tsu'tey's presence leave us.
"Thank you for doing this, Mo'at." I spoke up.
"Titania, you are one of us, family. I do not believe it is your time to leave us yet."
"Still, thank you."
"We should hurry. Tsu'tey will not be patient for long." Neytiri advised, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Well, let' get this show on the road, then."
I heard the drums as soon as I was carried out to The People, they were already chanting, lead by Mo'at. As I was placed on the ground, I felt roots connect to me the way my queue would on my Avatar body. 'Eywa, this is my last plea: Let me stay with them.' The drums and the chanting became louder, until everything was silent. I opened my eyes to a rainbow of colors and a woman so eatheral I had no way to describe her. "Eywa?"
"Titania, my child. I am here. Do you want to stay with Grace and I?" Eywa's voice was like listening to all of the Omaticaya speaking at once.
"Eywa, I'm sorry. I'm not ready. I promised Grace I would protect our friends. And I promised Tsu'tey we would be together."
"Everything will be alright, Titania. I gave you The Gift for a reason. You, Tsu'tey, Jake, and Neytiri will lead the Omaticaya to greatness. Whenever you have doubts in your new life, remember that I am watching over you, and I am proud of you. It is time for you to return as you are meant to be."
"Thank you, Eywa." She placed a kiss on my forehead, and when I blinked, I was staring up at Tsu'tey.
"I saw Eywa."
"She has blessed you and The People by giving you back to us. Are you ready to make the announcement?" Tsu'tey whispered with a smile.
"Of course I am. There is nothing standing in our way now." I grasped the hand he offered and stood to my feet, loving the feel of being completely in my Avatar body.
"Great people of the Omaticaya Clan, Ole'eyktan Tsu'tey and I wish to tell you something." I called to their attention.
"Titania has accepted my claim and agreed to be my mate." Tsu'tey announced with pride. The People erupted in cheers, with Jake and Neytiri sprinting up to us.
"We are happy for you." Neytiri told me with a hug.
"Finally, I could barely talk to anyone 'cause they kept asking about you."
"Glad to see you actually kept your mouth shut, Jake." I spoke casually as I leaned into Tsu'tey's side.
"Yeah, well, I didn't want one of you coming after me if I ruined the surprise."
