The Burrow
Molly:
"WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?" I heard Ron scream.
Gasping, I leapt out of bed and ran towards the sound of the commotion while raising my wand high in the air.
"Draco Malfoy," I stated coldly, glaring at him. I will never forget how his scum of a father treated Arthur. Or the rude comments that Ron always said that he made towards him and my other sons and daughter.
"Mrs Weasley... it's such a pleasure to meet you again. I apologise for all the bad things I might have said or done in my youth. Back then I was little more than a common bully. I know that whatever I say now will never change the past, or how my father and mother treated you and I feel deeply ashamed and sorry for that. But I have turned over a new leaf and so I ask for your permission to let me stay, at least for a while. If you refuse, I understand and I'll leave at once." Draco stated.
I looked at Draco. He seemed remorseful enough so I just nodded curtly as my motherly instincts kicked in.
"Mum! You can't be inviting Draco stinking Malfoy for dinner!" Ron protested. I glared at Ron.
"RONALD! This is NO way to treat a guest. If he says he has turned over a new leaf, so be it!" I exclaimed.
'Hello, Harry dear. And Hermione." I said as I turned to face the rest of the guests.
"Harry?" Ginny called from the top of the stairs. My heart softened as I looked at my future son-in-law. Ginny was already packing up and preparing to move in with Harry at his new apartment.
Harry looked up, his expression changing. He looked at me for permission and I nodded encouragingly. "Go on Harry dear."
"Hermione... nice to meet you again...." I trailed off as I stared at the beautiful young woman who had broken up with my son.
"Mrs Weasley, it's lovely to see you again too... how have you been?" she said awkwardly, trying to make small talk. I opened my mouth to reply and tell her that she didn't have to be shy, that she would always be welcome at the Burrow and that I had long forgiven her for breaking up with Ron. I mean, he could be a tad annoying at some points.
But Ronald cut me off. "HOW DARE YOU COME HERE AFTER YOU BROKE UP WITH ME? AND HOW DARE YOU BRING THAT FERRET ALONG AS WELL? ARE YOU TRYING OT INSULT ME?" he bellowed.
"Ron... I- I didn't mean to hurt you or come here, it's just that Harry insisted we come here before we go home... and I didn't want to refuse him because he said he wanted to see Ginny and I wanted to meet up with your family again and...."
I sighed sadly as I stared at Hermione rambling on and on. She didn't deserve this. Not when she had kept my family alive with her quick thinking. Stepping in, I motioned to the dining table, saying, "Its ok Hermione... make yourself comfortable and I'll whip something up. Arthur won't be home for a while..."
"NO. IT'S NOT FINE!" Ron continued.
"RONALD WEASLEY! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SEEMS TO BE MOVING ON FROM THE BREAKUP FASTER AND BETTER THAN ME! YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND WHO YOU SEEM TO BE SNOGGING EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF THE DAY!" at Ron's comment, Hermione blew up and shouted at him.
"But... but YOU BROUGHT A DEATH EATER INTO MY HOUSE! A DEATH EATER HERMIONE. ONE OF THE ONES WHO KILLED FRED! DO YOU HAVE FEELINGS FOR HIM? DO YOU? OR ARE YOU AND HARRY JUST TRYING TO SHOW THAT A FERRET CAN TAKE OVER MY PLACE IN OUR FRIENDSHIP?" he retorted.
I sighed. Had I taught this boy nothing?
At this point in time, Hermione looked like she wanted to punch something and Draco looked as if he would do bodily harm to Ron.
