they say you don't realize what you have until you lose it, truth is you do know. the reason you don't acknowledge that is because you know they'll leave you. in fact, in your own insecurity, you want them too. you want them to realize there is someone better than you. as royally screwed up as that is.
and isaac feels every inch of self loathing. he didn't do anything, like cheating, but he feels as if she was too good to be true. she was in fact, a rare treasure in the art of stubbornness and perseverance.

birdie feels awful, more so than usual. she can't shake off her fear, so she takes a walk around her room. she walks back and forward, pacing slowly. this is the first time in forever, she feels like she should have listen to whatever explanation isaac wanted to give her.
"oh gosh, ignoring isaac was my worst mistake," she mumbles. her words jumble together, forming incoherent, unintelligible sounds. it doesn't sound quite like she wants it to, but that's the morphine talking. doctor said it'll numb the pain. so far, it hasn't numbed her heart; it's hurting her.
