Chpt 6: Date a Duelist Prt 2

Reine once again was cleaning any wound Yugo may have gotten. Unlike last time that messed him up badly, this time he only had a slight burn and scratch on his cheek. Yugo hadn’t said much at all, so it made everyone unsure if he was alright. “You’re thinking about what she said.” Reine finally said something, causing Yugo to snap out of his trance. “Yeah….I...I’m worried now.” He said.

“Worried for yourself, or for the others?”
“Both. Not sure now if anyone I talk to will be in danger here on out. Or if they will try to just go for me now.”
“I doubt they would. It would bring attention they don’t need, and I am sure whoever is in charge of them is wishing to avoid so.”
“But that doesn’t stop them from doing something like….I don’t know, getting mercs or something?”
“I doubt that. It seems the less who know the better still. But you have a small point. If you wish, we can have someone watch you.”
“Thought you guys were already doing that?”
“To an extent. We can have someone stay with you.”

“I don’t think we need to go that far…. I should be fine.” Yugo said. Reine finished up and noticed Yugo’s was still uneasy. Setting down the supplies, Reine grabbed Yugo and held him. Yugo was caught off guard and wasn’t sure what just happened, but he accepted it. “This helped Shin once, so I figured it might help you too.” Reine said. “Yeah… it’s helping.” Yugo admitted. “Good.” After a few moments, Reine let go of Yugo. Yugo was still a bit red, but had to admit a good hug is comforting. “So then, what will you do?” Reine asked. Yugo took a moment, before he figured what he needs to do. “Wait. If what Blaze said is true, then I could just try and take the fight to them instead of just waiting and reacting, but we wouldn’t know where to strike since they can teleport and for all we know they are located in another country.” Yugo said. Reine nodded and agreed.

“You know Yugo, you are very bold and bull headed, but you are also quite caring and have some strategy, especially in your duels.” Reine said. Yugo chuckled and rubbed the back of his head. “Thanks…” Yugo said. Reine just nodded and stood up. Yugo and her finally joined the others, but Yugo was already planning to head home. Get some rest for tomorrow. Of course, he was asked the usual questions to make sure he was alright, and even offered for him to stay the night, but Yugo with a smile told them he was fine to ride home. Miku walked over to Yugo. “May I join you at your home tonight?” She asked. Yugo was a bit surprised, as she did come over earlier, but then remembered earlier. “Um…. you sure? I mean, it’s kinda late and all…” Yugo said.

“I don’t mind. Are you afraid of having me stay for the night?” Miku asked, teasing Yugo a bit.
“Um….well I….” He wasn’t sure what to say. He looked past Miku and the others seemed to be giving him the ‘Do it Yugo.’ He wasn’t sure why, but maybe this will give him the chance to learn. “Sure. I wouldn’t mind.” Yugo said. Miku smiled. “Then give me just a minute.” Miku ran upstairs, possibly to get a bag or something. Guess he was having a house guest now.

Yugo was nervous as before, Miku didn’t head inside but now...well she was sitting in the living room as Yugo was upstairs getting his guest room ready. Once he finished, he head down. “So….any reason why you wanted to come over with me?” “For one, I was worried about those girls may try something.” Guess Yugo shouldn’t be surprised that part was gonna happen regardless. “But, I also owe that explanation now.” That’s right, Miku said she was going to tell Yugo her little secret. “Oh yeah…. there is that. Well, then what is this secret?”

“Yugo, do you remember a little tournament you entered a few years ago? That you took second in?” Miku asked.
“Yeah, I can remember. Curse those flaming beasts.”
“Right. And do you remember someone playing Trickstars?”
