Chpt 3: A New Dragon Rises

"Wait what?!" Kaguya said. Shido and Kotori broke to them the matter going on. "So you are saying these girls only goal is to take souls?" Kurumi said. "We aren't sure in the slightest what their goal is, but it can't be good if Souls are on the line." Shido said.

"And you sent Yugo into the location of one of them?" Miku asked. Kotori looked at her, remembering all of Miku's actions earlier.
"He volunteered." Kotori said. "Yugo offered to be our one soldier in this."
"Query: Do you believe Shido should be the one to try?" Yuzuru asked Miku.
"No I just....think that Yugo being human puts him in more harm. Especially since none of us is with him." Miku said crossing her arms.
"These girls only seem to respond to Duel Monsters." Shido said. "So it makes sense we just send Yugo."
"Plus Shido is already busy with all of you. What's the harm in sending Yugo?" Kotori said. "Plus odds are Origami will find him. Girl seems to always be clued in wherever he is."

"Ma'am, Yugo is approaching the sight now." Everyone looked to the screen to see a warehouse. Yugo pulled up to it and got off his bike. Taking his Duel Disk off, he walked inside. Yugo looked around the area for a moment, before seeing a bright light. He ran over to see it. The body of some boy his age on the ground limp as a woman stood beside him. This woman wore a cloak of sorts, underneath a green and black dress and heels. Her hair was black as well. She was holding something in hand, before turning it to flames.

"Soul acquired." She said "Now to-" "Hey!" She turned to see Yugo enter into view. Her face never changing from a stone cold look as she gazed at him. "I take it you saw our duel?" She asked. "Only the part where you took that guy's soul." Yugo said. "Where did you send it?"

"To my Master, as per his orders. The Souls of Duelists are needed for his plan." The woman said.
"And what is that plan?" Yugo asked.
"Why would you care? You were spared once by Mistress Gale for defeating Peya."
Yugo gritted his teeth. "Yeah, and?"
"I would expect you to use your Life properly, enjoying all the "Freedoms" and such you Humans go on about."
"Take it you ain't a fan of our way of living?"
"You're way of living is degenerative and ungrateful. Killing your own kind for petty things, and when beings from another world come your first decision is to kill them."

"You mean the Spirits. Look, I didn't even know that they were a thing until yesterday."

"So? Do not think you are an exception, should you have the chance, you would kill the likes of us."
"What makes you so certain I would?"
"Because my Master said so, and he would never lie to his children."

"Jeez, can't you listen to yourself for a second? You call him master and he calls you his children? It's clear you aren't being told anything good about the world." Yugo said. Everyone watching was rather surprised to hear Yugo say this. Almost something Shido himself would say. "LIsten, if we can just talk this out, then maybe-"

"No!" The woman shouted. "I will not listen to your pathetic voice any longer. Continue to speak any longer, and I'll rip your soul out from your pathetic vessel." She threatened Yugo, who at first looked a bit scared. However he recovered remembering yesterday. "You can't, unless you duel me." Yugo said. The woman's hateful scowl turned to a smirk. "So then, you are as naive as I see all humans being." She said. "You wish to duel me."

"Yeah that's right!" Yugo grinned and activated his Duel Disk. The woman was surprised by this, but nevertheless was happy to put this human in his place. "Very well then Human. Let us Duel." She raised her hand and a circle lit up around them. The green hue of the circle filled the room for a moment as it settled. The woman's duel disk appeared, it having a very elegant yet mystical look to it.

On the ship, the screen watching the two got a few extra things add, such as Life Point meters and cards in hand. "What is this?" Kotori asked. "I had it installed. Displays info and cards they are playing." Reine said. Koroti just sighed. "Very well. Should have asked me first." She said.
