Game 1: Turn 7

Chpt 7: Battle in the Skies

The woman smirked at Yugo and Origami. "You know, it is cute. Seeing a Spirit and a Human so happy. Makes me wonder if what Master says it true...pah, like I would ever question him." She said. Yugo just grit his teeth. "You guys can't leave me alone for more than a day huh?" Yugo asked. The women laughed. "That's bold of your to say when you are the one getting in our way." She said. "Take down three of us, and I think it's time we taught you a proper lesson." Before Yugo knew it, a force pushed him back. "Yugo!" Origami tried to run to him but was stopped by a barrier.

"Sorry, but while Yugo is my business, so are you missy." The woman said. "Now then, you and I will duel, and then I will card you. You aren't much of a Duelist, but you're a spirit. The energy from you alone is worth at least a hundred Duelists. Maybe more."

Yugo got up and growled. "Leave Origami alone! You want me!" He said. "You're right, I do want you, but here's the thing: I like making my prey suffer. You took our sisters from us, it's only fair I take the ones you love too. An eye for an eye." The woman smirked. She held up her arm and a duel disk formed, it taking the shape of a wing as it activated. "Yugo." He looked at Origami who looked back at him. "Believe in me, like I believe in you." She said. Yugo nodded. "I will." He said.

Origami held out her arm and she glowed. A light enveloping her before she stood in her astral dress, on her arm now a Duel disk, but with a more angelic look about it, matching her dress well. The woman grinned. "Amazing. This will be excellent. The names Strix by the way." She said.

"Strix, you interrupted my date with Yugo. I cannot forgive you for that." Origami said.
"Like I care." Strix just laughed.

"I will start." Strix said. "I normal summon to the field Raidraptor - Vanishing Lanius!" Coming through the summon gate was a green and black mechanical bird. It soared skyward, then hovered above the place where it was summoned. Yugo's eyes widen at the bird. "Careful Origami, Raidraptors are no joke. Especially since they don't play by the rules." Yugo warned her. Origami nodded. "Understood." She responded.

"I now activate his effect: During the main phase of the turn he was summoned, Vanishing Lanius special summons one Raidraptor from my hand. I now bring forth Raidraptor - Tribute Lanius!" Another mechanical bird appeared, this one blue and looked almost like a jet in some fashion. "I now activate Tribute Lanius's effect: I send one Raidraptor from my deck to the grave!" Strix played out her turn: She sent a Mimicry Lanius to the grave. Using its effect, she banished the Raptor and added one to her hand. "I now open the Overlay network! I will now Overlay both Lvl 4s Vanishing Lanius and Tribute Lanius in order to summon: Raidraptor - Force Strix!"

A portal opened and both birds flew into it. Soon a light shined as a new bird flew out. The brown and blue looking bird, an Owl like design flew out and floated in defense mode, low and using its wings. "I will now detach a material and add a Lvl 4 Dark Winged-Beast to my hand!" One of the stars floating around Force Strix Vanished and she added a card to hand. Soon, Strix began the process once more, and soon, three Force Strixes now sat on her field, and due to their effect, all three had 3000 Defs. "I will now set two cards and end my turn." Two face downs appeared.

"My turn, draw." Origami does so and looks. Yugo watched from beyond the barrier, anticipating on Origami's move. Origami studied the cards in her hand quickly. "I start be activating Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage! This allows me to add one Sky Striker card from my deck to hand." She adds a card to hand. "I now activate the card: Sky Striker Maneuver - Afterburners! This allows me to target and destroy one of your monsters!" The spell appear and fire shot out of it and hit one of the Force Strixes, consuming it. Both monster's Atk/Def fell by 500, leaving them at 2500.
