Nadia's P.O.V
I grabbed one of my brother's backpacks and started stuffing some clothes in there, "I'm going on a quest," I explained when my brother complained about my stealing his bag.
"WHAT?! You are doing no such thing! It's dangerous and you can't control your powers yet!" he snapped.
"Relax Mom," I laughed, "We only need to get Hade's Boo Cap and we'll be done,"
"Boo Cap? You mean the Helm of Terror?! That thing will be somewhere you don't want to go. It'll make you face your worst fears!" Simon begged with his eyes.
"Simon, there is no stopping me. I already told Grace I would go, and I will. We'll be back before you have a chance to miss us," I snapped.
"Nadia..." he pleaded, "Listen to me, I'm trying to look out for you,"I sighed and hugged my brother, "Hey, I'll be fine. Don't worry," I know, I know, you're hugging him?! But you barely even know this guy! Yeah well, like it or not he's my brother. You hurt him, you die.
Grace's P.O.V.
I must be really stupid. I sat in the bus beside Nadia and Nico and thought over what had just happened. One one side off me, Nadia was rubbing her hands together and cursing the cold. On the other, Nico was staring out the window and mumbling form time to time.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing," he said quietly.
"Don't you nothing me, I'm your sister! Besides, your eyes tell everything,"
"Well, I just- I was just thinking,"
"About..?" I motioned for him to continue.
"Later," he said quickly. My brother confused me. I turned to Nadia. Using a body language code we made, she asked, You ok? You look bummed.
I guess I kinda am, but nothing important. Just- Nico won't open up to me!
Give him time... He's been through a lot. We didn't loose people we loved.
Guess you're right, but you lost Sebastian, and you're not like Nico.
Did you have to bring up Sebastian?
Sorry, but remember how I fainted at the same time he died? Nico says it could be a glimpse of my powers...
Yipee. Now, back to you...
Heck can we just stop this? Nico looks lost.
Ok.
Thanks.
"WAIT!" Nadia screeched, "Was that a thanks or a I-need-a-bathroom?!" We both cracked up, but Nadia's eyes stayed sad. The loss of her cousin really hit her hard. He'd been the only one to ever accept her in the family. Bash was awesome, obviously Nadia missed him. It got me wondering if Nico would miss me if I died."Oh gods..." Nico gasped, "Grace, Nadia, we have to get off. Now!" Roughly pushing us toward the escape door, he explained, "Monsters, the three furies to be exact. We have to get out of here. If they feel us, Nadia is toast,"
"Why me?!" she snarled, "I've done nothing to them!"
"You're a demigod," Nico snapped, "that is enough of an insult to them,"We jumped out of the moving bus. When we stopped moaning in discomfort, Nadia snarled at Nico, "Next time, let's take my car. Ok? Ok. I'm glad we agree," Yes...please... Nico nodded, "If there us a next time- OH GODS!" Crack crack crack crack... Not even joking, it sounded like bubble wrap being popped, or a glow stick being cracked. Oh gods? That's new...
