I sucked on my lollipop distractedly while I twirled my swivel chair in half circles. I was staring at the ceiling, I made them turn the lights off so my eyes wouldn't get hurt. Good thing my work mates didn't mind working in the dark.

I glanced on my phone that was resting on my work table to what it seemed like the hundredth time tonight. Itim pa rin ang screen noon, just like how it was earlier and yesterday and the past two days. Inisod ko ang swivel chair ko palapit sa mesa at kinuha ko ang phone. I clicked the power button to see the screen.

Blank, no notifications.

Oras lang ang nakalagay at date, the familiar galaxy wallpaper greeted my eyes like they were mocking me. As if 'no, no text sorry'.

I gave out a very very frustrated huff.

"May inaantay ka ba na text?" Ren asked, she was working at Caspian's computer. She was there for the third night now, that asshole nowhere to be found.

I meant... I knew where he was. He was at their unit at this moment. Alam ko schedule niya sa school, I've memorized it the moment he told me about it that one time. Ayaw niyang lumabas doon sa condo nila kasi, his words not mine, baka pagsamantalahan ko siya.

Whatever that word meant. Ni hindi ko nga alam ang meaning noon.

Napairap ako at hindi na sumagot pa sa sinabi ni Ren. They shouldn't butt in with my life. We work together but that was it. My relationship with them was strictly professional.

Inikot ikot ko ang swivel chair. I was bored out of my mind already.

Nakadalawa pa akong lollipop bago ko napilit ang sarili ko na umupo nang maayos. I was about to start working but I was really extremely unmotivated at the moment. I placed my chin on my hand, my elbow propped up on the table.

I pouted as I checked the time on my computer screen.

"Hey Ren?" Mahinang sabi ko. Ren answered me with a hum, she still had her eyes glued to Caspian's computer screen. "Busy ba si Kal ngayon? O kaya si Timothy?"

Napansin ko ang pag angat ng kilay ni Ren but I didn't comment on it. She had adjusted so much to my attitude, I should give her the benefit of being sassy with me. People like her were rare after all, kaunti lang talaga ang mga taong kayang magtiis sa ugali ko.

"They're always busy." Ren answered with a shrug. "Why do you think they don't have girlfriends?"

I scoffed, almost laughed at what she said.

"May fiancée na si Timothy." I said. Di naman pwede na i-disregard ng mga tao si Demi. Hindi ako papayag.

"The marriage was arranged by his parents." Sagot naman ni Ren, her tone not offensive even the least. Talagang nagku-kwento lang talaga siya. "Kung hindi pa siya ipapakasal di ko yata 'yun makikita na may kadikit na babae."

"Ganun." I pouted.

"Yep." Sagot niya. She furiously tapped on the keyboard. "Ganoon sila ka-busy."

Nagtaka ako bigla. Kasi Caspian told me before na kahit busy siya, he'd have time for me. Basta magsabi lang ako.

Sinungaling.

Nasaan na siya ngayon?!

I couldn't help myself but get irritated. Naiinis ako kasi alam ko naman sa sarili ko na di sinungaling si Caspian at hindi ko maamin 'yun sa sarili ko.
