The first thing I did was hop inside a car that took me to Empire Zero. Hindi ko alam kung sino sa maraming driver ng magpipinsan ang inutusan ni Robert na ihatid ako and frankly, I didn't even care. I was basically moving on autopilot, I didn't think my mind was functioning properly. My limbs just move on their own by muscle memory, knowing what I wanted to do without my mind really focusing. That was the only explanation how I managed to get in the car unscathed.

I knew Devon asked me to track Demi but hell, I couldn't even think! I doubt I would make any progress with it! I felt like I was stripped off of the first logical thing that I could do.

So I did the second best thing I could think of: go to where Demi was and decide from there.

My heart was beating so fast inside my chest it was making breathing harder than it was supposed to be. The car ride didn't even game me the chance to calm down, I was close to sweating the whole time.

Sobrang labo bigla ng lahat. Ang gulo. Kasi okay naman si Demi kanina, okay naman lahat.

Tapos ngayon, biglang ganito na? Biglamg nawawala na siya?

The fuck?!

Isa lang malinaw sa akin, from all of the chaos that was happening inside my head, and that was I need to be there.

I need to see for myself. I need to confirm that Demi wasn't really in the company.

Ramdam siguro ng driver kung gaano ka urgent para sa akin ang makarating sa Empire Zero kaya mabilis ang kanyang pagda-drive. They surely knew how to assess an important matter than unimportant ones kasi mabilis lang na nakarating kami sa company.

Sa labas pa lang ay halata mo nang may mali. Expensive cars lined up in front of the building. Nakita ko pa ang kotse ni Kal na nagmamadaling umalis, pupunta sa kung saan. It was weird since kung nagkakagulo na pala ay bakit aalis si Kal? Wasn't he the one who liked to fix his friend's mess?

Hindi na rin naman ako nag focus kay Kal. I went here for Demi and she should be my priority. But come to think of it, kung aalis si Kal siguro seryoso talaga ang nangyari.

Mas kinabahan ako. What if... what if Demi was physically hurt? What if the twins were in danger?

I didn't even want to think about it.

The moment the car went to a stop ay bumaba na ako ng kotse at mabilis na tumakbo palapit sa drive way, where all the cars and shouting were.

I immediately saw Ace being held back by the company's security team. Rage was evident on his face. Ganoon din si Timothy na hinaharangan ng isa pang security personnel sa harap para siguro hindi masunggaban si Ace.

"Kuya Devon's on his way here." Ace seethed, his teeth clenching. "He will kill you!"

"Subukan niya, sige." Ngumisi na parang demonyo si Timothy.

"Tigilan niyo na nga 'yan!" Sigaw naman ni Caspian na frustrated sa gitna ng dalawa. He looked so stressed already. "Your threats aren't helping! Di mahahanap si Demi kung puro kayo palakihan ng bayag diyan!"

Natahimik ang dalawa. Even the employees that were loitering around seemed shocked that someone like Caspian could say such inappropriate words like those.

So... it was really serious, huh? Hindi ako makaalis sa kinatatayuan ko after realizing that this was it.

The last straw has been snapped and Demi had enough.
