Chapter 2

The moment I arrived home. I sensed that something was not right. I gave my car keys to our guard and went straight to our huge front doors. Yes, my house is big. It's a mansion. We have guards, alot actually. My parents wanted me safe since they never go home. Well, they come home in special occasions only. You see, my parents are both business men. So they're very busy doing business trips. Ugh. Good thing Nana Theresa is there for me. She's been my nanny since I was a baby. She's a pure Filipina, and she's very excited to go back to her hometown. She also told me that if we were back to the Philippines, she wanted me to call her Nanay Inday. I find it funny but that was her nickname, so it's fine by me.

I slowly opened the door with my spare keys. That's odd, nanay Inday never turns off the lights if i'm not home yet. Hmmm. I came in quitely. I tiptoed to make sure no one will hear my arrival. Then, my human instict took over. Someone tapped me on my shoulder. Quickly I grab his arm and swung my attacker to the ground with a loud thud. My attacker screamed because of the pain. The moment I heard my attackers voice, I let go of him.

"WHAT THE HELL VINCENT?!"

"Ouch! Damn it Sophia!"

"Never sneek up on me like that Vincent! Do you want to die?!"

"No! I was just making fun of you. Gosh, are you in your period today? Geeez."

Ugh, Vincent almost killed me. He's my best friend. We've been best friend since we were born, and can you believe it, he is just a day older than me. We grew up together. Well, he isn't a celebrity. He don't want to get involve with gossip and etc., I forced him to go modeling, but he really don't like it. He don't want to get expoused. I have to admit, he's hot. The way his dirty bloned hair is messing around his beautiful face. His eyes.. oh those aqua blue eyes. It makes me crazy whenever I look at them. Good thing he's my best friend. If not, I might strangle him and keep him in my closet forever. Nonetheless, he's my other half.

"What are you even doing here in the middle of the night?" I asked.

"Well, i'll be sleeping here for the night"

"WHAT?! Why? Your house is just across our house. What the hell?!"

"Hey! Lower your voice, there are people who is already sleeping you know"

"Yeah. Whatever"

I made my way to my bedroom. I sure need to rest. I'm leaving tomorrow. I went straight to the bathroom and had a quick shower. I went to change into a white tank top and PJ's. When I got out of the bathroom, someone was sitting on my bed.

"What? You're going to sleep here in my room?"

"Of course!" I rolled my eyes and went next to him. I was about to lie down when suddenly he spoke.

"Sophie, the reason why i'm here is because, I wanted to tell you that i'll be coming with you to the Philippines."

Was he joking? I hope so. I had enough joke today. "Oh really? That was very funny Vince."

"What? You think i'm kidding?"

"Yeah? Why, are you not?"

"No!". Ugh. Great! Now he's coming with me. OH JOY!!

"Why?"

"Well, that's what best friends do, right? And besides, we promised each other that no one will separate us both." I gave him a smile and a hug. I guess it'll be fine to have him with me. Besides when I was studying about Philippines, he was there too. So I guess he'll survive.

"Thanks Vince."

"No problem love. Now, let's sleep. I know you're tired." I nodded and gave him a goodnight kiss on the cheeks. I cuddled into him until my mind went off to dreamland.
