Chapter 5

We are now staying here at our private resort in Palawan. Sapphire said we'd be staying here for about a month. It's really beautiful here. The place is really breathtaking. Finally, a rest from all of the showbiz shit. Vince and I took a swim at night and sunbathing in the afternoon. We also went to the Underground River. I was wearing my disguise, it was scary but hell! It sure was fun and thrilling. We also went clubbing. For short my summer vacation here in the Philippines is darn epic!

It's already May. Only one month left and then I'll be going to college. 

"Shana, pack your things. Tomorrow morning we'll be going somewhere" Sapphire said. 

"Where?" I asked. 

"It's a surprise." 

"No can do. Tell me first where're goin' then I'll pack" he rolled his eyes. I grin. 

"To your brothers'" Then he got out of my room, not wanting to hear my response. Vince suddenly came in. 

"Sophie, you ok?" I didn't reply. "Look, it's going to be fine. I'll be there." He smiled. I looked at him and gave him a weak smile. 

"I'm scared. What if he hates me? What if he doesn't want to see me? What if he don't want me to be his sister anymore since nobody knows that 'Shana Jones' have a big brother?" 

"You're Sophia now, not Shana. It's going to be ok. Calm down, I'll help you pack" he stood up and went to my closet. 

"How long we'll be staying?" I asked. 

"Sapphire said in about two weeks." 

"Oh, that's long" 

"It'll be fine Sophie. Chill." I nodded.

I have an older brother. He's name is Rocky Cruz. I was 5 and he was 14 when we were separated. My aunt took Rocky and brought him here in the Philippines. My aunt took him because my parents can't handle us both. It's been 11 years, and I'm kinda scared to see him again. 5 years ago, he called us for the first time. He wanted us to come and see him on stage since it's his college graduation day. I was really excited but my parents were busy. So we never came. After 2 years, he called again. This time he was getting married. But then again our parents were on a trip. He got mad. He never called us again. He's 25 yrs old now. I don't even know if he already has a baby. 

"Hey Sophie! How many panties and bras you'll be bringing? It'll be two weeks!" Vince shouted from the closet. I blushed. 

"Damn it Vincent! I'll pack my things!" he laughed. 

"C'mon Sophie. Don't be embarrassed. We even go to shower together when we were six." He laughed again. I slapped him on the shoulders. "Ouch! That hurts" I rolled my eyes. "Ha! Ha! Someone is on their period." He said with a sing song voice. 

"Shut up Vince!" I snap. 

"Whatever you say Miss-thirty four-C" He laughed again. 

"VINCENT DRAKE!!" I shouted. He really loves to piss me. 

"Look at you! You... you... you're so re....red. Ha-ha!" he's really laughing so hard. I jumped at him and tickled his armpits. 

"Sophie... Stop.. No.. Stop! Ha-ha! Stop it! It tickles! Ha-ha" 

"No way!" 

"Ha-ha! Enough! I'm so....sorry! ok! Ha-ha!" I stop. I won. "Geez Sophie, no need to get physical" he smirked. I laughed. "Want some ice cream?" I nodded.

We are here at Cebu City airport. Vince slid his fingers to mine and gave me a sweet smile. He knows I'm nervous. 

"Sapphire, does Rocky know we'll be visiting?" 

"No, it's a surprise." 

"Oh.." that's only what I said. We got in a car and drove to a five star hotel. We placed our luggage and I went to change my clothes. We drove off to my brother's house. After an hour of driving, we stopped to a beautiful house. It's not big like my house but it is perfect for a family. I got out of the car. I held my trembling fingers up to press the door bell. A beautiful lady approached us. 

"Sino po sila?" I was quiet, I know that I'm the one they want to do the talking. 

"Uhm.. I'm Ro... Ako po pala si So.. Sophia.. andyan po ba si R....Rocky?" She smiled. 

"Oo, andito. Kaano ano niya kayo?" there was silence. Vince elbowed me. 

"Uhm. I'm his sister" I looked down. I didn't saw her expression but she opened the gate and she let us in. At the door, there's a child, a little boy about 3 yrs old. 

"Who are they mommy?" He asked. He's socute. 

"It's your daddy's little sister. Your aunt Sophia" She looked at me with a smile. My eyes got wide, the boy hugged my leg. 

"Hi aunt Sophia. My name is Gian, I'm 4 yrs old." I bent down and hugged the little lad. 

"Pasok kayo." Said the woman. 

"Oh, nakalimutan ko. Ako nga pala si Genevieve. Asawa ng kuya mo" I nodded and shook her hand.

"Hon, sino yan?"  

"Oh Hon, Kapatid mo"then I saw him, my brother. I wanted to cry. He sure looks like dad. Gian got his looks too. 

"Rocky" he looked away. He's still upset. 

"What are you doing here?" he snapped. I stepped back. 

"Hon, ano ba, calm down." 

"Two important events in my life but they never came. How can I calm down?!" he shouted. I started to sob. "Now you're here? You still have the guts to show me your face!" I started to cry. 

"Rocky! Stop it!" Genevieve shouted. Rocky started to calm down. 

"I'm sorry Hon" 

"Give her time to explain" he nodded. I tried my best to stop crying but sadly I can't stop. But I still manage to talk. 

"Brother, I'm so sorry. *sob* it wasn't *sob* my fault. I wanted to come *sob* but mom and dad *sob* were too busy! *sob* Rocky, please forgive me. *sob* I missed my *sob* big brother *sob* so much." Vince gave me a side hug and rubbed my back. 

"ssshhh. Don't cry Sophie" Vince said. I looked at Rocky in the yes. 

"Kuya, please forgive me. I missed you so much. I... I want to hug you" he sighs and ran his fingers through his hair. Then he stretched his arms, welcoming me for a hug. I didn't hesitate and run into him my brother. 

"I missd you so much kuya Rocky" I can feel him smile. 

"Where are your bags? You guys will be staying here in my house" I broke the hug and looked at him. "It's been 11 years Sophie. I wanted to be a brother for you for...... How long will you be staying?" I chuckled. 

"Two weeks." 

"I wanted to be a brother for you for two weeks." I smiled and hugged him again. 

"Vince, Sophie you stay here with nanay Inday, We'll go back to the hotel to get our luggage" Sapphire said. I nodded. 

"Nanay Inday!" Rocky shouted. 

"Rocky! Naku.. ang pogi mo na" Rocky laughed. 

"Gumaganda kayo Nay ha." Rocky teased. 

"Hay naku Rocky. Buti naman at bati na kayo ng kapatid mo." 

"Di ko rin naman siya matiis eh" I smiled. 

"Vincent! How's my half brother?" they both laughed. 

"I'm good bro, damn I missed you" Vince said. 

"Same here" we all sat at their living room. Me, Rocky, Vince, Genevieve and nanay Inday. Gian's busy playing video games. I'm good now, my brother and I are in good terms. It's a good start.
