Chapter 31

~No One's P.O.V~

"David?" Max said before falling into David's arms, David smiled picking Max up and placing him on the bed. I hope Max is feeling better tomorrow David thought making his way out of the room to explain everything to Gwen, and put the three campers to bed as well. 

~Time Skip...~

"Wow David why didn't you tell me sooner?" A sympathetic look plastered on Gwen's face as she spoke. "Max asked me not to tell anyone, and I didn't want to worry you" David said rubbing the back of his neck a tired smile across his face. The room was silent, calm almost but awkward both wanting to speak but none wanting to break the silent calm. What felt like hours past when David was just about to break the silence when Gwen pulled him into a long embrace. "Gwen what's gotten into you!?" David asked shocked at Gwen's sudden closeness. "David you don't need to keep everything to yourself, if you ever need to talk i'm here for you", after Gwen said this she pulled away from the hug and quickly ran to her room leaving David flustered and confused. 

~Time Skip...~ ~Max's P.O.V~

I wasn't able to sleep the whole night waking up multiple times, I just couldn't get that memory out of my head. It was of Jason the jackass he broke into my home and. "Max how ya doing?" David's voice came from the door pulling me out of my thoughts. I wanted to ask him but the thought of him lying to me again kept me from pursuing the question. "I'm uh.. fine?" I didn't mean to sound so unsure being around David has really made it hard for me to lie about my feelings, i'm just glad the other campers haven't caught on to anything yet.

~David's P.O.V~

I woke up ten seconds before my alarm not like I was fully asleep Max may have made great progress since I took him in but I still had to be a very light sleeper just to be sure nothing happened. I got up, got dressed, and brushed my hair and teeth when I was just about to head outside to wake up the rest of the campers I overheard Max mumbling to himself. I couldn't make out what he was saying but with the emotional talk we had last night I knew I had to check and see if he was alright. "Max how ya doing?" The question didn't take long to be answered I noticed Max jump a little he must have been really deep in thought. "I'm uh.. fine?" Max shrugged at me before getting up and leaving the room and then the cabin all together. I decided that he must still be tired and decided it was time to wake up the rest of the campers.

~No One's P.O.V~

"Good morning campers!" David's voice came out of the loud speaker causing a loud groan from all the sleeping campers. Everyone had made there way to the Mess-hall no one paying any mind to Max who was already there. No one except three people that where left with lots of questions from the night before. "Morning Max"
