Camp Camp Rescue (Dadvid)

Chapter 32

~ No One's P.O.V ~

"Morning Max" Nikki said placing her tray on the table looking half asleep. Soon after Neil followed silently putting his tray on the table visibly exhausted and un-kept from his usual appearance. "What the fuck happened to you?" Max's question was met with a pause before Neil turned to Max looked him dead in the eye and pointed across the room "Preston just wouldn't let us sleep he insisted we answer his dumb questions" Neil huffed before he noticed a cup of coffee slide in his view. "You need this more than I do man" Max said before going back to eating. "So what was he asking you about anyways?" Max questioned between mouth-fulls another pause with Neil drinking his coffee. "Well apparently he overheard David say he was a parent, and put two and two together and we almost had to tell him he was right" Neil said with a hushed tone so only the three would hear. "Wait so what your saying is that shit head not only lies he eavesdrops on people to" Max let out a laugh before catching himself and looking around the room no one seemed to be staring so Max went back to his food. 

"Alright campers in about ten minuets where gonna start today's activity!" David paused. "A good old fashioned hike in the woods, and then an old fashioned night under the stars!". Every one got up to get ready all meeting in the lot of the camp ten minuets later Max as over prepared as last time, no one questioned it though.

The hike started like any normal hike David would take the camp on but this time David went off the trail. Questioned started to stir back and fourth between the campers but Max knew this would either be great or they'd be lost for at least a day. So where gonna go along with this like it's normal for David" Preston stated as he and the whole group stopped walking. "I mean come on why would David go off the trail" The campers started thinking the same thing and mob mentality was about to kick in. "Don't you kids know how a trail is made?" David questioned causing the crowed to think the question over. "Spaceships!?" Space-kid was quick to answer causing laughter to erupt from the campers before it died down and the thinking continued. "I know it's a master air wizard that sneezed mid spell!" the laughing started up again Max, and Nikki shared a glance her pointing to Max causing him to let out a sigh he knew Nikki just made fun of him for knowing the answer so Max decided that he was wanting the hike to end. "By people or animals walking on it a-lot" Max's voice was just loud enough that people could hear it everyone looked over at him to see that he started walking again. It was quiet before David got overly cheery and started walking again well saying " That's right Max, now we should keep walking so we can set up camp before nightfall!". A groan was heard before the campers continued on talking amongst themselves. 

~Time Skip...~ ~No One's P.O.V~

The hike had just come to a halt with David dropping his bag on the ground taking in a big breath "Alright campers i'm sorry to have to tell you this but no electronics are to be used tonight so if you brought them I will have to confiscate them now please!". Groans where heard from all the campers but this time they all listened to David and handed over all there electronics to David. Some campers decided they would give larping a try with Nerris, others where helping David and Gwen with gathering firewood. Max, Nikki, and Neil where sitting in a medium sized tent. Max fiddling with the guitar that David had bought him he was finally ready to show David what he had been working on, Neil was catching up on the sleep he didn't get the night before, and Nikki was counting her rocks to be sure she didn't lose any on the hike up here. Time went on when David burst into the tent tell the three is was time for dinner and then after the campfire would begin.
