Chapter 15

ETHAN'S POV
I was the first at the door. I opened it and saw at least five officers standing there. They pushed past me and one of them threw a piece of paper into my hands.

"That's a warrant to search the premises sir."

I mumbled some colorful words and wiped some Doritos crumbs from my face.

"Mom can you come down here?! There's a bunch of cops!"

As they were searching the kitchen and library, mom came downstairs and it looked like she was pushing something that wasn't there.

Curious as I was I reached out to the empty space next to her and touched something that Vincent will kill me for. I felt a slap on my face.

"Ethan!" A very angry Lia whispered. I rubbed my face.
Mom looked at me apologetically.

"It's a spell. I made her clothes invisible too." Vincent made his way downstairs.

"Is there a problem officers?"

An officer that looked like the boss came and approached Vincent.

"We've heard that a missing person has been living in this house. We just want to ask some questions."

Then mom fell to the floor. I ran to help her but she gave me a quick wink.

"Mom I think you need some air."

She nodded slowly and we walk and opened the door. I sensed someone walk past us.

After that mom seemed so much better. Note the sarcasm. The cops asked us millions of questions and messed up the whole house. They finally left and I went outside to get Lia.

I saw her outline of her body. The spell was wearing off. She quickly ran inside the house and didn't stop until she got in her room. Mom cast some spells on the cleaning supplies and they went to work.

Lia came back down and cuddled next to Vincent. She soon fell asleep. We all stayed in the living room until the sun rose.

VINCENT'S POV
I ended up falling asleep with Lia on my lap. I had a terrible dream.
I was in the woods again with the witch. Lia was a shredded mess. She was being tortured by something I couldn't see. She was screaming for me but I couldn't move. I felt tears in my face. I screamed her name but she couldn't hear me.

"You'll never protect her."

Lia looked at me. Her eyes were begging me to make it stop. Then she started to say something.

"Vincent wake up!"

I opened my eyes and Lia was there with tears in her eyes. She hugged me and nudged her face into my neck.

"I trying to wake you up for ten minutes."

I hugged her tightly. I told myself that I would never leave her side. I'm in love with her. I'll protect for as long as I live.
Ethan walked through the front door.

"We won't be drinking much blood today. I drank a bit from someone and when I was finished I swear I felt someone watching me."

I sighed. I needed some blood but I'll worry about that later. We went to the kitchen and had some breakfast. After I went to change.

I went back down and saw Lia and Ethan watching some comedy. The guy on the movie screen said something sex related and Ethan was rolling on the floor.

Lia sat there looking confused. He whispered in her ear and she her eyes widened as she blushed hard. Ethan started cracking up again.

I sat down next to her and put my arm around her shoulders. She leaned her head on my shoulder and sat on my lap. They continued to watch the movie but I wasn't paying attention. I was just loving the feeling of holding her. I kissed her head. She shifted herself on my lap so she can face me.

"Sing something to me."

I started protesting but she gave me a puppy face with her big brown eyes.

I started to sing Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. She put her head on my chest and hummed the song as I sung.

LIA'S POV
I stayed listening to his un-beating heart. He sang really good. I love imagine dragons! We finished the movie and sat down not doing anything.

"Let's play truth or dare!" Ethan said sitting down next to us.

I rolled my eyes at him. "What are we like five?"

"Is that you backing down?" He smiled at me mischievously.
I sighed and turned to face him.

"Truth or dare Lia?"

I thought about it for a moment.

"Truth."

He looked at Vincent and then at me and rubbed his hands together evilly.

"When you first met Vincent what did you think of him?"

I blushed and Vincent looked at me and smirked.

"What did you think of me?"
I can tell they're related.

"At first u thought you were the hottest guy I've ever met,"

Ethan chuckled and Vincent smiled.

"But after I thought you were a dick when I wanted to see what was in your notebook."

Ethan rolled on the floor with laughter. Vincent frowned and I kissed his cheek.

"That's not what I think now."He smiled and we resumed the game.

After a few hours of playing, Ethan was about to eat a beetle we found outside when Jessie came running with a paper in her hands.

"I FOUND IT!" She started jumping up and down excitedly. I started jumping with her.

"Really?! That's amazing!"

Ethan took the piece of paper and looked at it.

"Mom half of this paper is missing."

She nodded. "I know who has the other half, Robert. You remember him and his family right?"

Ethan laughed and Vincent's face went impossibly paler. I was confused again.

"What's wrong?"

"Robert's daughter has the biggest crush on Vincent." Ethan said in between laughs. "It's like she's obsessed!"

I felt something in my gut. She has a crush on my Vincent? Cue that dude from vine.
