Chapter 5

Omg I'm so sorry I haven't wrote in forever! I got my phone taken away. 😫 I'm going to make it up to you guys by writing twice as long.

LIA'S POV

"Ok ok let me get this straight. You guys are seriously saying that you're vampires?"I started laughing.

{10 minutes ago}

Ethan, let us inside the house. I was wondering about what he said about me being tasty, but I just thought he was probably a flirt.

He had brown short hair. he was probably about a few inches taller then Vincent, and had pierced ears. He also had the same light skin as Vincent.He looked a few years older too. maybe a college student.I would've never been able to tell they were cousins, expect that they both had beautiful hazel eyes.

We sat down in the living room, me and Ethan on an old couch, vincent on a rocker. Vincent introduced us and Ethan was doing the best he can to embarrass the hell out of him.

"So you're the girl Vinny keeps talking about."

Vincent's face turned a bright red.

"I only mentioned her once so stop before I stick my foot so far up your-"

Ethan didn't let him finish.

"So what brings you to my humble home?" he asked moving a bit closer.

I moved back a little realizing that he was getting a little too close for my comfort.

"We-we're working on a-a science project." I stuttered. I felt like an idiot for being so nervous, but hey if you had two extremely hot dudes talking to you at the same time, you would stutter too.

"So you didn't tell her yet?" Ethan asked Vinny. I might start at to call him that to mess with him.

"I was planning to but-"

"You know that sooner or later she is going to remember her 'dreams'."

I just sat there like an idiot trying to understand what the hell they were talking about. I finally spoke up,while they were screaming at each other,in a quiet voice.

"What are you guys talking about?"

Ethan smiled at me mischievously. he cleared his throat and gestured to Vincent.

I turned to him and raised my eyebrows, trying my best not to like scared. He ran his hand through his hair.

"Well, the first day you met me you saw something, something that puts your life in danger. You don't remember it now but you will soon, and we can't risk you telling anyone." He looked at me with sadness in his eyes.

"We're," he sighed. "We're vampires."

VINCENT'S POV

At first she said nothing. She had no expression that I could see. Then her face grew into a smile and she started laughing so loud I thought her life depended on it.

"Ok ok, let me get this straight. You guys are seriously saying that you're vampires?" She started cracking up again.

After a bit, I saw that Ethan was getting impatient and let his fangs show. His eyes started glowing gold and Lia stopped laughing. I let my fangs come out and she let out a little whimper.

"You g-guys are j-just j-joking right?" She asked nervously. I hated to bring her into this but she left me no choice. Why did she have to follow me?

"I know you might be scared, but-"

Before I could say anything else she fainted. Why isn't anyone letting me finish my sentences?! I pushed her hair out of her face. Ethan looked at me and chuckled.

"Well that went well."

I scowled at him. I picked her up and started to walking towards my room. Ethan as always, acted like the big pervert he is.

"If anything you can always put her in my room."

"I wouldn't dream of it." I chuckled as he stuck his tongue out at me. He was my annoying older cousin, only by 3 years, but he and uncle Lucas were the only family I had. Speaking of uncle, I wonder when he will be home. he's always in meetings with the council.

I set Lia down on my bed. My room was not really special. My walls were plain white, my bed blue. I had a desk in the corner were I do my reading and poetry. I also had my own bathroom

What am I going to do when she wakes up? Oh well, I need to worry about that when the time comes. I go to my bathroom to take a nice hot shower.

LIA'S POV

While I was unconscious, I had a dream that seemed really familiar. I saw Vincent drinking someone's blood. Then he was chasing me. I woke up covered in sweat. I put my head in my hands to try to stop the throbbing pain.

Out of the corner of my eye I can see a figure moving. I looked over and I saw a naked Vincent holding a towel around his waist. I screamed in shock and covered my eyes. He took it by surprise and slipped and fell on the floor, still holding on to the towel. Muttered some curses and grabbed some clothes.

"Stay here I'll explain everything." he said looking me straight in the eyes. Then he locked himself back into the bathroom.

When he finally got out he was were a black v-neck tee with some Levi jeans. He smelled like vanilla and honey. he sat down on the bed next to me. HOLY CRAP I'M IN HIS ROOM ON HIS BED! I let that thought subside and crossed my arms.

"Start talking." I said trying to put anger in my voice.

"Where should I start?" he started. "Vampires are real. I don't know how it happened. Maybe it was God or some experiment gone wrong, vampires just came into existence.But we don't kill people. When we feed take a bit of blood from one person then take a bit from another. We never kill the humans we drink from. We have some powers. Including speed, strength, super hearing and mind erasing. I have a special power of facial reading but that pretty much it."

I sat there in silence trying to absorb everything he just said to me. I interrupted the silence about a couple minutes after.

"What were you talking about when you said my life being in danger?"

He looked sad again.

"Well we vampires have a council. My uncle Lucas is part of it. They are the wisest vampires in the world. They make sure that no vampire breaks the rules we have. One of them was to never tell a human of our existence, unless they are turning into one of us."

"Do you think that they will try to hurt me?" I asked after another moment of silence.

"I don't know. But I do know that I won't let anyone hurt you." After realizing what he said he started blushing. Can vampires blush?

I just kept staring at him. His hair was sprinkled with water droplets from his shower. The aroma of his body was filling my nose. He bit his lips. His soft, thin lips. Lia your drooling again!

"You know," He said breaking the silence once again."I can also read minds."

WHAT THE HELL?! DID HE HEAR WHAT I WAS THINKING?! I felt my cheeks go hot and I started stuttering like an idiot.

He smirked at me. "I'm just kidding!"

I felt so relieved. I punched his arm as he chuckled. Then out of nowhere there was a knock at the door. Ethan walked in.

"Vinny, my dad's here."

Time to meet this Lucas who may or may not try to kill me. How fun. (note the sarcasm)
