Hello people. Just in case you didn't know there is a challenge I'm giving you. try to guess Lia's middle name. One hint is that it starts with an A. good luck and enjoy this chapter.
VINCENT'S POV
As Lia and I walked downstairs I could hear Ethan and uncle talking.
"Hey dad, you know how much I love you right?"
I heard a sigh. "Ok Ethan, what do you want?"
Ethan trying to be cocky said, "Can't I just speak to my old man-Ok can I borrow you car please?"
I chuckled and walked into the living room. My uncle was sitting in his old rocking chair while Ethan was literally begging on his knees. I walked over and gave him a hug.
"Hey uncle Lucas how did the meeting go?"
My uncle was the youngest vampire to be apart of the council. (the vampires don't age but if they don't drink blood for more than one day they will age to their real age) He was 103,but looked about 30. He took me in after my parents and I were in an accident. He tried to turn us all but was too late for my parents. I was 19 when I was was turned but I'm really 60.
"It was tiring as usual my boy," He hugged me back and looked at me with his tired hazel eyes."and no Ethan the last time you used my automobile you came back drunk as a wine maker and you were married to a pineapple!" (Hehe I got that from ice age)
I heard Lia giggle behind me. Damn, I forgot she was here.
"What ever happened to 'what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas'?" Ethan said defensively.
Uncle froze. He scratched his stubble an started sniffing.
"I smell a human."
Lia came out from behind me. She looked so fragile and defenseless. I cleared my throat.
"Uncle this is Lia, she knows."
His face froze. His eyes darted from her to me. Then out of nowhere I felt a sharp pain on my face. He slapped me? He never raised a hand on me.
"You fool!" His voice screaming. "The council trusts me to enforce our rules! Two simple rules! 1.Never kill a human, unless it is the only way. 2.Never let a human know about our existence!"
He slapped me again. Lia backed away to a wall. I saw tears in her eyes. I don't know why but knowing thy she was getting scared made me angry at my uncle.
"I tried to erase her memory but it didn't work!" I did. when I knocked her out she was not supposed to remember anything, but when she was acting nervous I knew that she still knew. "She won't tell anyone I swear on my life!"
He looked at me and sighed. He ran his hair through his thin brown hair. That's where I got it from.
"We will need to tell the council. But as long as she does not tell ANYONE, and you will make sure of it, I think your punishment will not be severe."
I sighed in relief. The worse thing they can do was put me to death. I waved Lia to come over. She was still shaking, but obeyed.
LIA'S POV
"H-hello s-sir. My n-name is Lia, I p-promise that I w-will not tell anyone."
Lucas shook my hand and chuckled.
"Calm down child, you looked like you've seen a spirit."
I half smiled. I wiped the tears from my eyes.
"You seem very important to my nephew. Seems that he've gone smitten."
Oh God did he really say that?! I blushed like an idiot and I can see Vincent blushing slightly. Lucas chuckled again.
